This is a great buy for the mosin nagant. Once you file it to accept one of the old sights pins to prevent its forward movement, it's very sturdy.
My one complaint is that the actual securing could be a little more flush(to be expected with the price), but it will definitely stay secure with a touch of loctite.

Nice item but definitely made for smaller shotguns, maybe Bantam. The circular part of the mount fits my 1" diameter flashlight well and will just barely fit my Mossberg 835s action tube, but the triangle mount will fit neither of these, meaning it's has less than a 1" diameter, mostly due to that triangle design from what I can guess. Because of that this thing is utterly useless to me. Nice price and cool little design but definitely not meant to fit a bigger shotgun like my duck hunter.
