Cool bag
DJ✓ Verified PurchaseJune 10, 2017
This is a very cool bag. The straps are a bit complicated, but that just raises the cool factor. Took me a minute to figure out how to stash the waist belt (I think this is totally unnecessary in the larger bag that I got). Lots of compartments and room. Good for a range bag, day hike or even an over night. Happy happy happy!
Evidentially some people don't like all the straps, I wonder if they actually looked at the picture.
Just got it, but the construction is solid, and I am confident that it will stand up to a good bit of use.
Great pack at a great price.

So I purchased this bag and the one from Baigio for a comparison. While the Baigio version had nicer zippers it was totally to small to be of much use for anything other than a stroll in the park.

The Shangri-La bag on the other hand is almost double the compartment size in the end pockets and almost an inch deeper making it much more functional. Both bags are almost 100% identical in design but this one seems to be built just a bit better than the other.

What could this bag be used for? Roadside emergency kits. Small first aid pack. Wilderness day pack. Paintball ammo bag.

Can be worn over the shoulder using the shoulder strap that comes with the purchase, around the waist or by the handle which is all built pretty sturdy. Only time will tell how long the buckles hold out but they too seem to be pretty good quality.
Excellent Bag; Has Many Uses

I bought this bag to use as a survival/BOB gear bag. It's not a full BOB. That requires a backpack, but it's perfect to keep in my vehicle. I got the large version. The overall measurements are shown as 15" x 9" x 6". But when I fully loaded the bag with my gear, the measurements were 17" x 12" x 10". So it has a lot of room.

Some have complained about the handle being off center. When the pockets are full and the straps are adjusted, the handle shifts toward the center of the bag. The bag is designed to carried with waist straps or a shoulder strap. I found a combination of both as the best for me. At my age, with a waist about the same as my hips and no muscular rear end to support the bag, it didn't work well strapped to my waist. But with the shoulder strap on my shoulder, or cross body, and the bag on my hip, I would attach the waist strap as well. That provided better support.

With two end pockets, a front pocket, a top pocket and a large main pocket - all with dividers - it is easy to organize items for easy retrieval. Straps on the top and bottom could be used to attach a small tent, tarp or poncho. Molle webbing on the waist straps, and on the bag, can be used for smaller pouches or a canteen.

This could be used as a general travel bag although it does not hold as much as a backpack. Several reviewers use it as a weapons range bag or as a tool kit. So, it has a lot of uses. This bag is perfect for my needs.

This bag is amazing. I originally was going to buy the Maxpedition Sabercat Versapack but when I finally went to buy it, it was no longer available... However this product was on the list of search results and after checking it out it seemed like the same bag EXCEPT this one was only 35.00. The Maxpedition was going for 110-130 before it became unavailable. From all the reviews I saw on YouTube this is the same as the sabercat versapack.. Except its way cheaper and comes with a strap which the $110 maxpedition did not.. If you are thinking about buying this bag.. I would just do it! Its worth a try for 40ish bucks!
Absolutely love it!!! You couldn't trade me for another bag...

I am in Fire and Emergency Services so I keep my personal medic/trauma bag with me at all times.. The bag is not big and bulky thank god... I will say though it seems like one of those bags in a magic trick, you just can't seem to find the bottom... It seems like I have enough it that it could restock an ALS unit minus the drugs, AED, and stretcher.. Very well built and will have years of service, plus with all the MOLLE on it you can easily expand for more equipment.. Buy it... You'll love it!!!
