I was very wary of this range because of the few negative reviews, but the looks and 2 year warranty won me over. I am so happy with my purchase. It looks awesome and works wonderfully. You do have to make sure the eyes are on correctly for the burners to light. I have had no issues and have been using it pretty much daily for the last month and a half. Cooked 2 huge gumbos and countless pies over the holidays and it worked like a dream. No complaints.

Update: We have had the stove for 8 months and use it daily. We still are very happy with our purchase and have not had any issues.

I have written only two fan letters in my entire adult life. I am now a senior citizen and this is the second. I am beside myself with praise and gratitude for the Thor Kitchen HRH3618U, 36" ProStyle 6-burner gas stove. I really mean it. I am recovering from disappointment over its clone, a Viking 6-burner. The Viking was my first foray into "manly" and "industrial" stoves and stove tops. It was all stainless steel, had pronounced grates, and my guests would go "Ahhh!". (It was known to cost a lot of money and it had them fooled.) In fact, the ignition was temperamental (matches were an important accessory), the flames were poorly controlled and uneven from burner to burner, and the stove top never stayed perfectly level (please, the stove was mounted on a slab floor).

Now, into my new dream house comes the Thor Kitchen range and oven. Half the price but three times the quality of the Viking. It is a substantial looking piece of "industrial" art: Although it has the same looks as the Viking, it somehow has more gravitas. (Check them both out and you will see what I mean.) It stays as level as a pool table and its burners have a precision flame. Moreover, it has this "concentric burner" thing on half of the burners which puts a flame within a flame and allows really slight and sustainable simmers. But it gets better! I got sloppy with a pot roast last night and made a horrible mess on the inside of the oven. This is when I decided I had to write a letter of thanks to the manufacturers. It's really easy to clean! The floor of the oven comes right out with no fuss whatsoever and can be popped into the sink for a proper de-gunking. My mood went from black to bright in the 10 minutes it took to restore everything to new again. True story.

Frankly, if I had known about the Thor Kitchen before, the names Viking and Wolf would just bring a sad-and-knowing shake of my head. Well done to all of you. I am a very happy camper. And I can see that I am going to be for a very long time.

Looks great. It gives the kitchen the professional look you get from more expensive brands. I did not buy from Amazon because there was a glitch with processing and I wanted it delivered for Thanksgiving. It arrived on time, and so far has been performing to my expectation. Give it four stars because I item i received has grates as the one shown now on the Amazon site. The picture I looked at had a different grates (flat) that i would have preferred.
