I would love this bed for my dog except that she's 17, has arthritis and is in danger of falling off of it and when she does she really can't get up unless she falls on one of the yoga mats I have around for traction. She really needs a bed with more support to hold her in. I didn't want to give less than five stars because it's a great bed for a different dog. The fact that it's waterproof alone makes it a great choice for a senior dog. It's very thick and seems like it would be comfortable for a dog with orthopedic issues. Also, the company contacted me with an offer for help with any problems so it seems they are very interested in good or excellent customer service.

I love this pet bed. The packaging was good, product was thin, but once you unwrap it and leave it alone, it will inflate to 5 inches (height), I left it alone for four hours. It's very thick and does not go flat. My furbabies are 70 and 100lbs respectively and the need retains is form. It is very comfortable that I tried laying on it and didn't want to get up. It is well worth the money and it will definitely last for a long time. Excellent quality. The cover is removable and good quality. My dogs love it and I'm considering purchasing another one for my other furbaby. Oh, the customer service is topnotch. They follow up to make sure you're happy and satisfied. I highly recommend this product.!!!!

They not only said the would honor the full warranty but would extend it beyond the 30 days Amazon gives. They even offered a full refund without having to return the bed since it is very hard to put back into the box. I bought this bed because of the many great reviews and it seemed like just the thing for a 14 year old arthritic Airedale. Unfortunately like I said she doesn't like change. She wouldn't even try the bed so my husband bought her a thick, fluffy throw rug to replace the old, thin bathmat she was sleeping on. Now she is mad and won't sleep on either on of them. She just lays on the carpet at the foot of our bed and looks mournfully at us while both rugs are laying right there next to her. Like I said, spoiled. I would definitely purchase from Better World Pets again. They are great and stand behind their products.

Our 13-yr-old amazing Brittany Spaniel/Chocolate Lab mix is finally starting to feel her joints as gets up im the morning. She wouldn't even touch her old bed, and preferred an old couch. Since getting this bed, she goes to bed *before* we do (a first), sleeps through the night without getting up, and is ready to chase squirrels again at first light. Truly the perfect bed for an aging-yet-still-active dog. It also sits a little higher, due to its thickness, which helps with her getting up and down on it, I believe. She does occasionally have accidents in her sleep, so the waterproof cover was a must (why don't brands waterproof most pet beds -- you can't even tell with this one?) She weighs 48 lbs., approx. 36" long when sleeping. We got the XL and she has plenty of real estate to enjoy. Massive thank you to this awesome, earth-friendly pet bed manufacturer! xx

This bed is AMAZING if you have an older dog with "bone" problems. Our dog, Otis, who will be 13 in December (a 100 pound black lab) is still a happy boy who loves his food and still loves playing with his toys. However, the poor thing has major back, neck and leg problems and can not function the way he used to. The old bed he had was soft and would slide all over the floor when he tried to get up and it was getting to the point that he could NOT get up anymore and we would have to help him. This new bed is fantastic for him! It's a firm bed, which seems to be helping with his problems and it stays in place. We have not had to help him get up once since we got it. The second we put it down he got down on it and we could tell he was so in love with it. Whenever we can't find him, there he is sleeping in his favorite new bed. Also, unlike other reviews, our bed had no smell and does not make any kind of "crinkle" noise. I highly suggest this bed if you have an older dog with orthopedic problems.
