So far so good. From what other people have said, it definitely doesn't grab all the litter but I've noticed that there is significantly less on the floor to clean up. I have two blind cats and one isn't bothered by the texture of the top layer, in fact he loves laying on it. The other however seems to try to avoid it if she can and will jump from the box over it. If it keeps doing what it's doing now than I will be happy considering my last mat did absolutely nothing. Also need to figure out how to empty it without spilling it all over the floor.

First of all, this is the perfect size for the area I have. I bought it for our camper. The litter seems to get tracked in here worse than at home, I guess it just seems that way as it is a smaller area. This mat traps the litter and it's easy to pick up and pour back into the litter box. I do this every time I scoop the litter box and it keeps the area clean and the floor litter free.

This litter mat is worth it's weight in gold. I have tried SO many litter mats in the last 20 years and this is the only one that's worked. Yes, the price seems high for a mat, but it's reduced the litter on the floor from our boxes by about %90. We got two of the medium mats for two of our four litter boxes. They are great, but I'm not spending $140 on mats for all four boxes. We use them under our litter boxes without lids. If you have a litter box without a lid I HIGHLY suggest getting the larger size, the medium is not enough, it's not big enough the catch the litter on the sides. If you have a litter box with a lid, the medium size is perfect. We rescue cats so we always have a full house. You're always supposed to have an equal number of cats and litter boxes plus one, especially in a multi-cat home, so we have way more litter than most people. We also have hardwoods so litter is much more noticeable. We empty our mats every 2-3 days and that's all it really needs. **If you don't dump it regularly, it will not be able to do it's job and you will have litter all over your floor again. It works by catching the litter in it's small holes, once they fill up it's ineffective. It's not a problem if you use it correctly and dump it every few days depending on how messy your cat is. Ours are VERY messy. I pull it out and dump the excess litter right back into the box. The top is foam so anything that gets on it (poop,vomit) wipes right off with water. The cats don't scratch the mat unless I've left it out after dumping it. They don't mind stepping on it and neither do I, you won't get litter on your feet. I actually go up to it sometimes to wipe litter off of my feet or shoes. It's brilliant for that purpose alone. I would say this product is necessary if you have cats. We used to have to sweep everyday, and it wasn't enough at all. I'm sick with an autoimmune/neurological disease so I'm never able to clean, my mom had to. This truly changed my life. If you have an illness or disability I strongly recommend this. I don't know how I lived without it before.

Functions for collecting cat litter, and easy to return the debris back into the box from the mat. The cats don't always exit where the mat is, so litter on the floor is less but still gets on the floor. The reason I suggest a larger mat than you think you may need.

This works as advertised. But the one from iPrimo (patented, although more expensive) is much better and they basically work the same. After trying both, I really prefer the iPrimo because it doesn't hurt my feet when I walk on it in my socks. And because of their special liner that is waterproof for incontinent cats or those who prefer to pee outside the box. Just put in a paper/disposable pee pad between the layers and tah tah! Dump the liner when dirty.
