WOW! Finally a cat litter mat that's not just a rug. I've only had this for a day but, I can already see this thing is going to be awesome! We have 3 cats 🱠who seem to be non stop potty machines, that apparently have daily contests to see who can fling the most litter out of the box. The design of this mat with the holes that allow litter to fall through keeps litter from piling up, then being tracked throughout the house is fantastic! I've imagined something like this everytime I'm sweeping flloors, so glad someone finally created this miracle mat...And since one cat occasionally has an accident and pees over the side of the box (I know right)...that this is waterproof and easily cleaned is .... OMG 😲 I can't even tell you how Happy 😊 I am with this thing! I need a few more I'll be ordering them soon. The litter that you can see in the photo is actually litter that has fallen through the holes to the bottom layer...I know this mat is going to be one of those must have items for all my cat loving friends...Oh and that it's made in Michigan.... YAY MITTEN!!!

I was skeptical about this mat, and balked at the price, but I'm so glad I bought it. The litter box is in a small utility room. Prior to buying this mat, I had to shake out the rug and sweep almost daily, otherwise, I'd have litter stuck to my feet and a trail of it down the hall.This mat really does what it's designed to do. I'd say it catches a VERY high percentage of litter. I sweep in there once a week, and I just slide the litter from the mat back into the pan. Now I can get in and out without shaking off my feet! Great product, can't recommend it enough.

So far so good. I just opened this. I got the jumbo, it's somewhat big enough for both litter boxes, I'm sure some litter will get out here and there. As you can see, I had to weight down one side of the mat with 42lbs bags of litter because it came a bit folded up, as you can see in the picture. Not a big deal, I'm sure with the weight it will stay down. My cat did scratch at it, but he's a devil so I'm not blaming the company for this. I have yet to see how well it picks up litter, so in a couple of days I will update my review. For the price I paid I have high hopes for this product.

UPDATE: It's been a couple of days, I still have the two 42 pound bags of litter holding down the side that comes up because it's still not flat. However I did give it the full 5 stars because it has indeed collected a lot of litter. Yet I can still walk on it. It's amazing. I do need to buy another one though, a bit smaller so I can put it in the doorway, since I have two litter boxes this one wasn't big enough to catch all the litter my kitties get stuck on their paws. These are a bit pricey but completely worth it!

I have similar mats by Blackhole and iPrimio. I've had the Blackhole mats for about a year, and the iPrimio mat for about a month. I have two 1 year old large cats and three litter stations. I use Sterilite 28-Qt boxes for litterboxes and Dr. Elsey's Precious Cat Kitten Attract Training Cat Litter (this litter has much SMALLER particles than other normal (adult) litter). These mats come in smaller sizes, though I only have the largest sizes available.

Here's a comparison of the 2 mats.

Blackhole:
--XL Size is 32" x 23" (largest size available)
--3 sided stitching keeps litter inside mat nicely
--Smaller holes than iPrimio but still adequate
--Top of mat has three levels to help catch litter: protruding round nubs, lower levels nub connectors and the holes
--Inner bottom of mat also has crevices to catch litter
--Latest attempt to purchase (July, 2016 from two different suppliers, AMZ and independent) failed. Three orders = three returns. All mats had a sharp ammonia smell.

iPrimio
--"Jumbo" Size is 32" x 30" (largest size available)
--1 sided stitching seems to be OK, too, but perhaps not as well as 3 sided sealed mat
--Larger holes may be more helpful with larger litter particles than our Kitten Attract
--Mat surface is a single layer of flat material with holes
--Inner bottom of mat is smooth and does not help catch litter

Which to choose?
*I like the bigger size of iPrimio.
*The larger holes of iPrimio don't seem to help or hurt (in catching litter or with 2 young cats walking on it)

But
*The iPrimio's single vs 3 sides sealed might affect the mat's ability to hold litter
*The iPrimo's single sealed side does mean you have to be a little more careful when picking it up to pour litter back in boxes.
*The Blackhole's bottom inner surface with crevices plus being sealed on 3 sides help contain litter better

So, overall, iPrimio is a good choice. Both iPrimio and Blackhole are superior in design to just a rug or those PVC stringy mesh litter rugs that never seem to release the litter or allow for a good clean up of vomit. Both allow easy clean up of litter and to put it back in the box. If size were not an issue (and if the latest batch of mats weren't contaminated!), I'd likely choose the Blackhole mat over iPrimio for it's slightly better ability to contain litter.

I have been waiting to buy this mat for months because I just couldn't find it in me to spend the $50. After breaking down, buying it, receiving it, and using it for only a few days with my three cats, I can say it was worth every penny. I'll need to buy another one because even the Jumbo size is too small for what I need. I'm no longer having to vaccum everyday and litter tracking is almost completely gone. Should have bought this sooner, but so glad I have it now!!
