Not Sealed, Won't Last.....

I had to buy this to replace the exact same light on the front of my camper. The original lasted 1.5 years before moisture in the switch caused it to stay on 24/7 (killing my 2 batteries), even though the switch was off. I have no expectation that this replacement will last any longer than the original, because it is not sealed. The only reason I bought this was to keep from drilling new mounting holes in the front of my camper.

There is an open gap in the housing so even if you use the amber light to stop the bugs, they find the white light that projects out of the half-dome gap. Make sure that's installed down for less chance of water damage. After 4 months of use, even with ours installed down there's some type of short bc it sometimes works & sometimes doesn't. :(
Replacement Light

This is a replacement for the light that came mounted on the front outside wall of our camper. We use it for the few times when we have to hook up at night. The original was not caulked at the factory and actually filled half way with water causing a failure. This new light appeared identical but turned out to have the wire entry port on the opposite side. Not a big deal, a little trimming and the wiring exit hole in the trailer was modified. The light was then easily mounted. We bought a second light and mounted inside the pass through storage area. Both work and look great.

I recently purchased a used camper and the front light over the propane bottles did not work.
I searched and found this light on Amazon. It fit perfectly and was fairly easy to install. And it has the advantage of using a LED bulb vs. the old incandescent bulb. I do wish that they had included new screws but I just reused the old screws.

I see this little jewel as an ideal outside entrance light. We don't have to leave it on all the time we are gone and annoy the neighbors. It is mounted a little higher than the original camper combination handle and entrance light. We put a much bigger normal RV folding handle right where we wanted it, and this light where it can easily be reached to flip it on or off. The strength of the LED light was surprising. In boondocking situations, we won't have trouble seeing the ground and any puddles or obstacles to easy entry. No more fumbling with keys and locks. We can see what we need to see.
