The finish is terrible. Bubbled up in some places. The cage finish is especially bad. I would have sent it back if it weren't for the hassle and the fact the light I was replacing's push switch (part of the fixture) was shorting and I needed to replace it asap.
I drilled a hole in the base and installed a toggle switch. Easy to add. Since it's aluminum, I think I will sand/grind the finish off down to the bare aluminum so it looks better. My use is indoor so I did not install the included junction box. I reused a cross bar with ground screw between the fixture and my wall box to connect my ground wire since the fixture's ground screw is part of the included junction box. This fixture does not have a ground wire of it's own. Also its wires are the cheap twisted wire rather than copper.

Very nice lamp. With things like this you can tell the quality by the weight and these are quire hefty. Was easy to install. I live on high bank waterfront property on the Puget Sound in Wa. We get hellish windstorms in the winter with driving wind, rain and sand so a regular fixture just doesn't cut it. We had our first major storm this weekend and these held up well. They look cool too. Reminds me of something I would see on a ship when I worked in the merchant marine.

I had big, clunky and old existing porch lights. The old ones were not very sturdy. I opened the screen door too far one day and broke one. I decided I wanted a simple, industrial look porch light that was sturdy and reasonably priced. Well, these are exactly what I wanted. They look great, were easy to install and are very sturdy. Once they are installed they don't budge. No loose or rattling parts, etc. I'm very happy with my purchase. I bought two so that the front door and side door match. Oh...the picture of the product online doesn't show the round box that it mounts to. It definitely comes with this as can be seen from my installation pictures.

I purchased 6 of these Solid Outdoor Weatherproof Lights to install them on my dock. They come with a high quality matching electrical box that is not shown in the picture. The box accepts 1/2 inch conduit. My electrician used 1/2 inch flex conduit to make the electrical connections. I also purchased the Miracle LED Yellow Bug Light MAX bulbs from Amazon which look great since they are not too yellow in color and are also very effective at keeping bugs away from the lights.
