CRKT. What else can be said. This company makes a great product and I own several of their knives. Not a bad word to say about this knife.
I would buy another if I were to lose it.
(Update) This knife if sharpened correctly is wicked razor sharp! I slipped and "tapped" the back of my hand and got a trip to the ER.
I still use this as my EDC.
aus8 takes a fantastic edge and keeps it

well balanced. fits perfectly in hand. compact and very slim but still plenty of handle. aus8 takes a fantastic edge and keeps it. my only complaint is that the detent holds the blade a little firmly and sometimes i miss on the deploy.... still a five star knife. love kit carson's designs but the m16-01z tends to wear out after a year these are made from much better materials

Definitely quality knife. I own the knock off (Gerber EVO) as well, but the original M16 is definitely best. Even though it's not an assisted opening knife, it flies out easily. I thought it would be a bit stiff right out of the box, but nope. Feels awesome in the hand. That autolawks system I'm still getting used to, but I think its fine. At least I don't have to worry about the knife closing on my hand accidentally, which I've had on some frame locks in the past that got gummed up over time. Really an excellent purchase. I'm 100% satisfied.
Good knives

I've carried a CRKT M16 for the last 16 years as a Police Officer both on and off duty. I love the "flipper" as it makes these knives easy to open fast with one hand.

I bought this one because I like the added seatbelt cutter and window punch. My only complaint about this knife is the blade is about 1/4" shorter than the regular M-16 version (I guess to make room for the window punch). The new locking system does take some getting use to.

Haven't used the seatbelt cutter or window punch yet, but I saw some YouTube video tests of this knife showing they work. I'm sure it will come in handy one day at an accident scene.
Very Capable EDC

This is my second CRKT M-series knife, and it's because I truly abused the other one and it fell apart that I had to purchase another. This one doesn't seem as light or compact as my old one, but it is due to the black grip being added over the metal handle and not having the holes cross drilled. The action is smooth as silk with the blade opening with a quick flick of the finger, and is sharp, maintaining a great edge for a long time.
