It took some practice, but save me on a new refrigerator evaporator that I bent and broke. Soldered copper to aluminum with little problem. It did not tin quite like silver solder. Had a small leak and had to re-solder, but all seems OK now.

I'm well experienced with soldering but couldn't get this to stick. I tried several different types of aluminum alloys but none of them worked. Maybe it works with pure aluminum, I don't know.
