Paricon/Flexible Flyer model plastic sleds

Be aware that Paricon sells different sleds! The 48" Paricon Lightning sled is flimsy and will break on first use. The 66" Paricon Winter Trek is a thicker, longer heavy utility sled that can reliably be used for hauling your gear while ice fishing, snow shoeing, cross country skiing, etc. Yes, it will also haul children.

Consistently broken sleds

I love the design and size, but the plastic is inappropriate for sled material. My 7 year old has broken 3 of these sleds, usually on the first run. My friends bought one also, and it broke on the first run. Customer service won't deal with me because I complained about their lightning sleds breaking. I attempted to engage management to suggest they change plastics, but they won't return my calls. The customer service suggested I try ERA plastics out of Canada, which makes the original Paris sled. I will, and paricon won't get any more of my money. Our local hardware store won't carry them anymore and I have given them the ERA contact info. hopefully we will have functional sleds next year.
