Looks to be well made, but the main zipper is backwards, meaning it is on the left side instead of the right like jackets and coats. Very awkward. Also, this was obviously a returned vest, as it has an unopened package of tissues in one pocket, plus several safety pins non the straps. But it showed no signs of wear and came in the original package, so this was just an oversight.

After loading the vest with my equipment and talking with the supplier about the issue with it being used, I have upgraded my review. The vest is very comfortable when fully loaded and has more than enough room for all my lures and equipment. In fact, I have pockets that are still empty, which is a miracle. I cannot wait to start using it, after the snow quits and the temps get above 70.

Just had this come in yesterday, and got all of my stuff transferred to this new vest. I love this thing. It is super light and feels durable. There is no a single space wasted. It has pockets everywhere for all of your equipment. My last vest was struggling to hold my stuff, but this one has room to spare. I am 6'1" and 190lbs and I have to wear it with the straps pulled in a little bit more than how it came shipped, but not by much. It still has room to be tightened more, but I don't think it would fit some if you are on the smaller end of the scale. Overall a great vest though and I'm excited to take it out fishing. If I find something wrong about it while in the field I will update my review.

Amazing bag. It is clearly an attempt to duplicate the "Fishpond Summit Sling Fly FIshing Pack" as it done very well and at 60% cost reduction. It is very functional on the water. Always remember to run the sling over your right shoulder and then the bottom can be rotated under your left arm to your stomach where you can unzip and layout the "fly work table". The drink pouch on the bottom is great with the tie down for the cap. I'll be added some accessories to this very soon!

Love this vest. Love the all the pockets how well they are laid out. Plenty of places to put all my fly fishing goodies I feel I need with me. Only change I would like to see is have rod holder reversed so the reel end is on left side of vest and the rod crosses over to your right shoulder rather than your left shoulder. So a big name brand vest in a fishing store at quick glance I thought was same vest until I saw big name and price was over double what I paid for this vest.

Just received it in the mail today. It is missing the removable foam fly patch for the front pockets. As others have mentioned the zipper pull is on the left side. Still functional however. I'm looking forward to putting It to use. 3 stars for missing the foam fly patches.

UPDATE: Maxcatch read my review and on their own contacted me. They are currently shipping me replacement fly patches and a couple extra goodies on top for the inconvenience. WOW! That's taking care of your customers. Bump to 5 stars

Update2:
Now that I've used the vest extensively here's my findings. The vest is comfortable for all day use. It is durable, I spend 10-12 hours in this vest on most trips and no signs of wear yet. I have worn it along with a backpack just fine.
Only 1 flaw: the nylon straps for the shoulder adjustments slip and loosen up throughout the day. My fix is, I'll get the straps where I want them and then sow them together.
