Redo furniture and make rustic signs so I am always looking for brushes that will keep up with me. Living rural I was in the mood to work on some projects but didn't want to make the two hour treck to the big box stores for brushes so I took a chance. Super glad I did! This is a really nice set, seriously considering ordering another set for stains.
I used the medium brush first during the hot summer month of June to apply a seal to a 5ft x 4in sign that I keep outside which had been painted using water based paints...I wanted something to seal from weather elements, specifically rain and moisture. For this project I was just using ModgePodge Matte. The brush made the ModgePodge go on smoothly, even though I wanted a nice thick heavy coat. I was able to wash the ModgePodge out easily with just water, the brush didn't get stiff after drying and is ready to go for the next project.

I am currently painting the exterior of my home. These Presa brushes have been great. There are several sizes - made for corners, eaves, trim, etc. They clean up easily and hold their shape - of course you have to wash well and wrap them till next use. I am very pleased with the results. I will update this review when I finish painting my home exterior.
UPDATE - I have painted almost half of my home's exterior and these Presa brushes are holding up very well. I wash and rinse them thoroughly when I know I won't be painting for several days. I have also wrapped the brushes in wax paper and then Saran Wrap when storing overnight in the refrigerator. Great time saver.

I have finished painting the exterior of my house. These Presa brushes did the job. They held up well and are ready for the next job. I did clean them well. I took care of them by thoroughly washing them and wrapping them in layers of paper towels. As I already wrote - there were a few times when I knew I'd be painting the next day or for 2 or 3 consecutive days. Then I would wrap the brushes in wax paper and then Saran wrap and store the brushes in the refrigerator overnight. Time saver!! They were ready to go the next morning..
I highly recommend Presa brushes.

Today I ordered my 30th (THIRTIETH) set of these paint brushes.

Absolutely cannot be beat for the price.

Use them once, throw them away.

I wasn't sure what to expect when purchasing these brushes at such a low price (~$10). I plan to use these brushes for many projects in the future but I bought them with my first project in mind, painting, staining, and varnishing a corn hole set. I just recently completed this project and used these brushes to stain sections a dark walnut, removed the stain using paint thinner, spread latex paint on the non-stained sections, washed the latex paint off with a high-pressure hose, spread a thick, high-quality urethan on the boards, and then removed the urethane from the brushes with paint thinner.
Now let me tell you, I think that was a pretty intense project for these brushes and they held up WONDERFULLY! I am so happy to say that the brushes applied all stains, paints, etc. very well and they were easily cleaned. No bristles fell off and after applying paint thinner to the brushes to remove the residue from whatever process they were used for, the bristles are as soft as when I first opened the box. I think I will have these brushes for a long time!
I would recommend buying these over going to your local hardware store. I checked my local Home Depot for brushes and the prices were OUTRAGEOUS compared to this set. So glad I came across this at just the right time!
