Thought I give it a try even after reading mixed reviews. Like others have said the pre-drilled holes are not 16" on center (17.5" on center was the one I got) and make it a big pain. I decided to dril my on holes but now the bar has extra holes and I don't care for how it looks. Also this kit will not work if your replacing a door/trim and plan to leaving the trim around the door. I'm going to have to figure out how to get some type of spacer to get the bar off the wall more. Those are the main but major issues. Other wise it functions fine and seams sturdy enough.

I can't believe all these 5 star ratings. Yet the hardware is okay looking, the installation sucks. The hardware is too big for the offsets, so I had to buy a 1x4 and stain it the same shade as the door. The directions are junk and trying to figure out what they are trying to say is quite the challenge. Also, as several people said already, the hole don't match up with the studs.
I understand that your studs may be different than normal studs, however, there should be enough play in the installation that would allow you to move the bar an inch or two either way, so you can at least get one or two lined up. Having to drill out 3 holes in the metal is not fun.
Buy the more expensive ones and avoid these hassles. My time is worth something so the cheaper model is not a bargain, in my opinion.

Great kit for a fraction of the price in big-box home improvement stores. A bit tricky to install. I would only recommend this to a DIYer with relatively strong skills or a good bit of experience. It was hard to get it level and took a lot longer than anticipated to install. Now that it's up, however, it looks great and functions beautifully.

The only reason why i didnt give this a 5 star, and almost gave it a 2, was that we were able to still use the rollers and now it looks beautiful. The rollers that hang/hold the door, have pre drilled holes in them. However they are drilled in different spots on each side. We had measured and drilled holes in our door after measuring one side. When we finally hung the door we saw that it was hanging lopsided because we didnt notice that the holes were different. We were luckily able to drill more holes in the door to make it right, and the rollers cover the old holes. It is very sturdy and we love it, but make sure to measure your holes before drilling!! We were able to find a door for $40 at lowes.
