Wasn't good for my 9 year old niece because it was too complicated but great for my 76 year old mother -- kept her from getting bored and challenged her critical thinking (Alzheimer's runs in my family).

I read all the reviews before purchasing, but I was still blown away when I opened the box. Pieces, pieces and more pieces. I can see that this kit will take me quite a while to complete. I am really looking forward to it. I agree with the reviewer that commented that a kit like this would cost hundreds more if sold locally in this country. Despite the affordable kit price the quality is there. One thing I am happy about, the pieces come painted. I am very glad of that.

This kit is not a toy. I would think a teenager could join in with the building. Younger than that I would be very, very guarded. If you have never built anything like this, I would recommend starting out with another kit that is easier. Experience and patience galore are required here. The directions alone are 30 pages long and in English. I cannot stress enough, this is a very involved project. I really enjoy building like this. Miniatures are in my blood. Woohoo!

Packaging was well organized. Instruction manual is in english and had every item listed, cross referenced with the several labeled bags containing the small pieces. None of the pieces were missing which was very surprising considering the number of small pieces. Did take some time to ensure I was using the right piece for the task at hand(I checked the piece by measuring it first before using it). Instructions were very clear and detailed with helpful photos. Youtube videos were also an asset. All items appeared well made and sturdy. Best to have good tools like long tweezers and good clear, fast drying glue (these you need to buy extra). Other than having your own tools, everything is in the kit. This is very much a DIY dollhouse, need patience and steady hands to complete all the small details like the tiny ribbons, roses, spoons and coffee cups. Finished product was stunning. Will definitely consider buying again from this provider. Hope to see more buying options on Amazon.

I don't understand the negative reviews. This kit is ADORABLE! The english instruction book make more sense than most instruction booklets you get here in America! I am 75% of the way thru finishing this model and so far I have not had one single piece missing. Everything is labeled perfectly. If I had to get really really picky I would say it would have been nice if they put stickers on the wood pieces with the corresponding number. It did take some time to figure out which piece is which, although, the pieces are placed in bags labeled A, B, C, D. The attention to detail is amazing, and this is one of the only times that I have found instructions that are translated to be 100% clear. This was clearly not only translated but they had to have hired an English speaking person to make this model walking thru the instructions and correcting any translation issues, because so far every word has been 100% correct. The instructions are in full color, gives tips on how to make the process easier, it is honestly a very impressive kit. If this kit were manufactured in the US and sold here it would be a $250+ kit. If you like making miniatures you will enjoy this. I did buy a few miniatures to use in replace of making some of the tiniest details (the little boxes, little cups, ect...) this kit includes everything so that when you are done you will have made almost every single tiny detail. If this doesn't appeal to you, buy some pre-made tiny details such as the lamps, tables, ect....the kit is such a good value for whats included, you can do that and not feel guilty. Highly recommend, and I hope that more of these kits will be available on Amazon Prime! Thanks for this great kit. We have nothing like this in America! I would love if they included an additional wallpaper choice, that is my only request!
