I appreciate the loud alarm for a noisy kitchen, but the other spouse does not. Check this out though: put a piece of tape over the speaker hole and your set.
Also, we both are annoyed by the annoying alarm escalation after 10 seconds, the extra annoying escalation at 30 seconds although it does STFU after a minute. What it is also missing is a count up timer for past due alarm - it would be nice to know how long it has been since you missed the alarm.

This kitchen timer is great. With a large display, it is easy to see how much time is left from a distance. The full keypad makes it easy to input the desired time down to the second. The sound when the timer goes off is loud enough to hear from the next room.
There are two things I don't like, but they are pretty minor. First, getting to the battery compartment was more challenging than it should be. The unit includes batteries, but they are wrapped in plastic (keeps them from wearing down before the timer is ready to use), so accessing the battery compartment right away is mandatory. Second, the clip on the back makes the timer wobbly if mounted on a refrigerator or other metal appliance. I just placed it on top of my microwave, so that problem is just a minor inconvenience. These issues do not take away from my recommendation.

The XREXS Kitchen timer is a good buy for the price you pay. The timer is accurate , easy to use and easy to see the numbers. The screen is not back lit, but I cannot imagine this ever being a problem. With the light in the kitchen, the screen is very readable. The timer ready sound, is to say the least, incredibly annoying. That is a good thing, because you cannot ignore this sound. The only problem I had with this timer, is that I had it attached by the magnet to the refrigerator. The first time I used it and I went to shut it off quickly because the sound was annoying, my hand hit the timer too quickly and harshly , the timer fell off the refrigerator and went literally flying across the kitchen. This is one well built timer. I immediately tried the timer to see if I broke it and it worked just fine. I was going to give this 4 stars because of the magnet situation, but taking the price I paid into consideration, this is a 5 star item.

Yes, it works but is a bit problematic. The instructions are a total joke. The volume is okay and the screen size is okay. The button controls are confusing if you don't let the timer run down to zero. This thing is also a clock but I have yet to figure out how to set it up as such. Reading the instructions on the box, both sentences, doesn't help.

Very easy to use. Much better than those one button things that you have to press, press, press to get the right minutes to time. Here you just input the minutes and off you go. Only problem is the max minutes are 99. So if want to time say 2 hours...you can't. So what I do is time 90 minutes then add 30 when it goes off.
