This is a classic beauty! Fit was true to size . I loved the dress . I ordered a 16 (fearful of it being to small when it arrived ) I am a Size 12-14. It would not be easy to alter this dress . So order it in your appropriate size . Perfect for Mother of Bride / Groom ..not frumpy . I ordered Blush . You will have to go strapless with this dress . Wear a smoother undergarments . This dress in Black would be beautiful for a party . It's flattering to all figures . I have returned the dress because I should have purchased it in my size and I'll need to be active on the wedding day . Which makes going strapless a challenge . Great dress for a cocktail party .

I found this dress to fit somewhat weird compared to other Maggy London dresses. I ordered my normal size (10), which was too tight in the skirt area, as well as a size larger (12), which fit the bottom but was drowning me up top. I don't have a small chest (32DDD) so this was surprising to me. The fabric doesn't have a lot of give and the under layer (slip?) is prone to static, which I found annoying and uncomfortable. I also found it to come up too high in the throat area so I felt like I was being choked. It's a beautiful dress, but clearly not for a pear shape. I got so many compliments on this look! The dress fit perfect. Snug but it's supposed to be fitted. I'm rather large busted. I wore no bra and everything stayed in place. The only flaw, I would say, is there is no "catch" on the top of the dress so the zipper would slip some. I had to keep an eye on it so to speak. I plan on adding the catch for later. Just didn't have time before my event. Maybe someone with a little smaller bust wouldn't have the same problem. Spanx are good with it too. :)

Great fit, high quality! I fluctuate between 160 and 170 lbs at 5'8". My bust is 34DDD or 36DD. Waist is around 29 inches. Size 10 works perfectly. For me, it would work give or take ten pounds, because it has some give to the fabric. I was worried about the arms being snug, because my arms and legs are pretty sturdy, but it fits perfectly. I'm wearing it to get married in, but it could work for many different occasions as it isn't too dressy or too casual.
