Great closers for the money. They do their job well. I wish they had an adjustment for the pull/push to open force as they are a little difficult to open. Far beyond the normal force to open a regular self closing door. This unit is set with alot of open force required. Closing force was able to be adjusted perfectly after install.

I bought this as a repackaged item. It had everything I needed for installation and with the help of the installation instructions online, it works beautifully.
Beware! The wrong door closer is being packaged in the box by the manufacturer!

Be very aware!!! This product is NOT sold through Amazon by Norton Door Controls - I contacted them personally, they said they don't sell directly through Amazon or Ebay. So if you have problems with your order and Amazon can't resolve it and they point you to Norton Door Controls (who is listed as the seller), you won't be able to get resolution. Of course you will be able to return it to Amazon.
Anyhow, the problem I found is that they are advertising this as the 161BFXTPN x 689 160 Series from Norton Door Controls. The BF part of the product name is has the ability to be an adjustable spring from 1 to 4.
The problem is that what Amazon is shipping is the version WITHOUT the adjustment. It is basically the same product WITHOUT the adjustment screw.
The one that arrives is the same in color, size, etc... but the force is at level 4 (very strong, hard to push open - my wife and kid had a hard time opening the door - that is why we wanted the one with the adjustable spring force).
This is not directly an Amazon created problem, it comes from the fact that the manufacturer, at their over seas plant, is putting a final sticker (there are many layers of stickers) on the generic white box that says it is the adjustable version, but what is put inside the box is the non- adjusting version.
Amazon has been made aware of this problem as of 7/13/16. So not sure when it will be corrected and I hope they would be able to indicate the correction has been made before they continue selling it.
So I gave 3 stars, because I could not fully use the product. For what it is, it seems to work ok (but I'm returning it since I can't adjust it to make the opening easier). The install instructions are a bit tricky to decipher - but I think that is because most of these are installed by professional installers and they just need to be shown once and not have to read the instruction over and over.
