I installed two of these closers in July of 2016. A few months that ago (January 2018) they started leaking fluid. As of yesterday, one failed. The other is on the brink.
These units worked great for a while, but they're clearly not bult to last. If one failed, I might consider it a fluke. But two? That's poor quality.

Great closers for the money. They do their job well. I wish they had an adjustment for the pull/push to open force as they are a little difficult to open. Far beyond the normal force to open a regular self closing door. This unit is set with alot of open force required. Closing force was able to be adjusted perfectly after install.
No more door slamming!
