My favorite press ever.

There is nothing I can add to the product that everyone else has not raved about. I use this everyday. It cleans up very easy, the parts are extremely well made, and I have never had one grain of coffee in my cup. This is well worth the high cost. The fact that the coffee stops brewing once the plunger goes down is extremely helpful. I love it.

Cleans out the finest ground tea!

Among the press style coffee makers, the P7 represents an almost perfect combination of form and function. We have used Bodum French presses for over a decade, and I reluctantly bought this press only because of an excellent equipment review on the "Coffee Review" web site. Boy am I glad I did! The P7 is a product that is brilliantly engineered, beautifully designed and well manufactured. The click lock double filter is ingenious and leaves nothing more than a wisp of grinds in your cup even when using a very fine espresso grind. I use expensive Kona coffee and I want a fine grind for maximum extraction and minimal bean usage. The P7 double filter is so efficient you can use a very fine grind without having to worry about sludge in the bottom of your cup. Just remember - as your grind gets finer slow down your pressing stroke. And the P7 click lock filter is easier to clean then the Bodum filter. After disassembling, just rinse it clean with the spray attachment on your sink. Or use a strong flow of faucet water. No scrubbing is needed!
This is probably the best press you will ever use. I can sum my experience up by using a car analogy. My Bodum French press is a Toyota Corolla and the P7 is a Lexus LS460. There is no comparison! And the P7 rugged build will last a lifetime. But the most important thing is that it makes an outstanding cup of coffee "“ much better then the Bodum press! It is expensive, but you will feel you got your moneys worth!

I will never go back to a reg coffee maker
