I have started using this coffee press religiously, it filters out the sludge in coffee brewed in the French press style extremely well. I have found that the paper filters, which are available, are really not necessary if you are willing to clean the filters regularly (plunge the cleaned filters in water to remove any sediment off the filters.

Nice carafe but thats as far as it goes. filters are very dainty and easily damaged. Mine ripped right away. The company did send me a replacement but it took a while. I ended up returning it, not happy at all with the quality especially considering the price. I bought this thinking it would be super quality, but it definitely was not.
