Good backpacking hatchet

For the price overall, it's not a bad hatchet. There were a few burrs on the blade itself which I was able to remove with a very fine sharpening stone. The handle feels great in the hand and is secured tightly however there were a few cracks towards to the head of the hatchet where thee wedge was driven in. I bring this with me backpacking and camping and it works great for it.

If your looking for a Hults Burk Salen hatchet THIS IS NOT IT! The title and description do not match the tech details! Instead of a Salen hatchet with 20" handle I received a Hultafors felling axe with 26"" handle.

Very impressed with this hatchet. Well made, good fit and finish are all what I first noticed. The edge came fairly sharp and the excellence of the Swedish Steel was apparent when I touched up the Blade with a stone. I also like the compact size and weight as its intended to be around hunting camp and in a pack in the field. Definitely would recommend it.
