Not bad at all!

I own many stoves that utilize secondary combustion, including some that are home-made. This stove works great and packs up really nice. It is however kind of picky about it's fuel. It doesn't burn damp wood as well as others. The fire goes out unless the wood is bone dry, I keep a straw with it so I can give it a puff of air to get it going again. Even with this slight setback, it packs up very nicely into my mess kit, keeping it all in one nice tidy container.
Great size and weight for backpacking.

I have taken this a several backpacking trips now. It has performed wonderfully. I have used it both with wood and with alcohol tabs during wet weather. The compact design is great.

I do have to admit that I modified mine by cutting a feeding slot between two of the pot supports. I made sure to leave the ring between the two supports intact at the bottom to ensure the ring isn't compromised. I think that if you cut the wood small enough, or bought the right sized pot, you could either slide the wood between the pot and the lid or quickly toss in a few pieces while lifting the pot. I did this more for my own convenience rather than to correct any flaw with the product.

I would recommend this to anyone who is looking for a lightweight stove for backpacking trips.

The one thing to keep in mind for this is that the alcohol tray that comes with this is not deep enough to support the use liquid alcohol fuel. However there is enough room when broken down so that you could fit a tuna or cat food can inside if you would like the use liquid alcohol fuel.
convenient, easy to use, well-built

(have only used alcohol as a fuel so far. will update my review if i have a different experience with biomass fuels) using stoves like this while camping / hiking is definitely new for me. this stove was so easy to use! it "assembles" quickly, can be used with a variety of fuels, and packs easily for a relatively lightweight stove. the prongs are adjustable and i successfully cooked using a variety of different sized containers. overall, it's simple, quick, convenient, and seems to be constructed well. i'm suitably impressed!
Do not bother trying to shield it from wind as the product is designed (in my opinion) to work much better in windy conditions

This stove works very well and neatly to my interest for backpacking. Do not bother trying to shield it from wind as the product is designed (in my opinion) to work much better in windy conditions; the vents in the bottom and mid-inner sides circulate the wind, when you're fire is lit, you will see it form fire rings at times (sweet! and cool geometry). Do not get it wet, and do not slander the product if you get it wet as one should know their materials and try to keep it safe and clean. Use small make-up removal pads lathered with petroleum jelly and any bundle of twigs and sticks (snapped to the near-diameter and inner height) into the burning compartment; if you cant start a fire with it (especially) in the wind, you're just not trying. it's never failed me, and has served me very well, I'm so happy I got this as my first campstove, and they are a wonderful alternative for those wanting one. It packs very small and was happy when i saw how small it was to put in my pack. I recommend these. As having a campfire when backpacking and moving day to day is just not optimal, works very well as I have compared it side by side to the Toaks small can version and they burned for the same time , no difference in burning time. Boiling water in a stanley cup takes like 9 minutes, it's great. Had some of the best oatmeal and hot cocoa/cappuccino mixes using this on some cold mornings, and sunny afternoons.
It's okay.

Update: Since I didn't give them a great review the first time, they've been emailing me numerous times, trying to make it right. They are a good company, I would buy another one. They have great customer service. Being a responsible human being I knew what I was getting into buying this. I read the reviews. It's a great compact stove, but you need very dry wood, and dry ambient air. I used it at Lake Sinclair in Georgia. I split wood, and whittled some dry'ish wood from the inside of the log. Apparently conditions have to be great for this thing to work. I will fire it again in better conditions, and update again.

I've only used it once.

Pros: Compact, light. Good quality, and value.

Cons: The instructions weren't great. If I wasn't already familiar with gasification, It would have been a complete bust. The sticks and material (at hand) that I used were slightly moist. It took me nearly two hours, with a lighter, to get two cups warm enough for a backpack meal.

I will try a home test with dry material and post again later.
