I never heard of T-REX tape before I bought this. In fact I accidentally added this to my cart thinking it was Gorilla Tape. Was way cheaper, so I decided to try it out. I am very familiar with Gorilla Tape. What I can say is it seems to be a heck of a lot more heavy duty than any duct tape I've ever seen. You can rip a piece of it off the role with no problem. Unlike Gorilla, where you have to use scissors or a knife. So, that's either a good or a bad thing. Means it's easier to work with but probably not quite as heavy duty as Gorilla. For me personally, I prefer a tape I can easily rip a piece off without a problem. So this is my new tape of choice.

This is an excellent duct tape, definately out performs standard duct tapes. I am in the process of remodeling a bathroom and had to bust out some of the ceramic tiles in the shower so I could determined if a plumbing vent line was inside the stud wall. As an experiment, I orded T-REX duct tape to see if it would repair the hole in the ceramic tile and remain water proof so the shower could be used until it was time to demolish the bathroom. The hole that I knocked in the shower wall was approximately 6 to 8 inches wide and 9 to 11 inches high. As a test of the adhesives stiction properties, the ceramic tiles were not cleaned of shower soap and shampoos. The tape was applied starting from the bottom of the hole with each strip overlaping the prior one by approximately 1/2-inch to assure a good water tight seal. The tape extended past the sides of the hole by approximately 1-inch of T-REX duct tape. Each tape was applied such that there were no wrinkles or creases where that tape contaced the ceramic tiles and and overlaping layer of T-REX duct tape. I used my hand to press and smooth the tape to insure good adhesion and hopefully a water tight seal. I did not all any set time before testing the repair. I used a Water Pick hand held shower head that was connected to the water supply by a braided hose. Water was sprayed from all directions up, down, and side to side using the highed pressure settings. The water temperatrue was varied from cold to hot. Water was sprayed for a long enough time to insure that any water leaks would have been visible below the shower stall and stud wall as seen between the floor joists below the bathroom. Absolutely no leaks! The tape was applied to other surfaces both smooth and rough with excellect adhesion to the surfaces I tested. T-REX is excellent for making high integrity repairs the first time! The slightly higher cost for the is easily justified because it just works!

A really strong bond. You will need to use extra muscle than other duct tape, but it works. Works so well it wants to stay on the roll and keeps my fingers stuck to it too.
We put a few layers of tape over the cracks in a fiberglass shower floor for a temporary fix a few weeks ago. So far, with daily use, it is holding up really well.

This stuff is awesome. It holds and doesn't let go. I used clear tape made for canvas on the outside of my boat cover and it held ok but not great. I fixed that and then put this on the backside to help and it has held up great! Love the product and it is the only duct tape I will ever use moving forward.

This is my second time ordering this specific tape as a replacement for another similar brand. I am very impressed. So impressed I order this from overseas and have a friend ship it to me. I keep it handy for a million different things. In the Vietnam Era, soldiers and airmen called this "100 mph tape," and for good reason. It could patch up a helicopter to fly quickly to around 100mph. This tape here is way superior!
