UPDATED REVIEW
I have been using this pressure cooker since January 10th with fabulous results. I have never used an electric pressure cooker befgoore so there is a learning curve for me, however I cook daily, Soups are better than stove top, Cheesecake came out great. I brown meat in a heavy pan but ribs and roasts were done in the chart time, I released pressure at 5 degrees below done time for the meat and left it on warm for 15-20 minutes. It was perfect temperature. I overcooked squash but learned to use half the time. Made pasta sauce with browned ground beef, dry rigatoni and it was perfect. The gasket does smell after cooking, put it in the dishwasher and let it air dry. Pros on this cooker: Up to pressure time is quick, 4 qt [hard to find], gasket comes out easily and is on a metal ring with supports [no fitting it in the ridge], goes to warm at end of cooking time, Rice is better than stove top, stone ground oatmeal is better than stove top, peeled, diced potatoes for mashed potatoes are unbelievable. I have been giving food away to my 'testers' and have had rave reviews. Can't wait to do my favorite recipe of frozen chicken with rice. I had my family for dinner, put a 4# roast in when they arrived, by the time I had the sides done the roast was ready to carve [no checking it in the oven for 2 hours, then keeping it warm to come up to temp]. [Dry rub on roast night before and browned when room temp that day] This cooker is not a miracle, it is just a wonderful convenience. You have to know how to cook and prep.

Great so far

Great so far. I would like to get a stainless pot for it though. One round of chili and it appears the tomato acids really discolored the non stick pot.
Cooking for one or two becomes practical...

I am a widowed man (for the 2nd time) and live alone. Cooking for two is a chore. Cooking for one...not very attractive. I bought this item because my daughter has the 8 quart version and she thought I'd like it. I have been on a ketogenic diet (which has worked fabulously) and this cooker complements that effort perfectly. I like this better than a crock pot and even better than a microwave (for some things). I have made main courses, stews, soups, and desserts in this. It takes a little labor but produces enough for 3 to six meals. So it has very rapidly become the cooking medium of choice in my kitchen. It's not like "mom's old pressure cooker." It's meant for the pace and lifestyle of today. Throw in some stuff, add a little water, push a button and come back after an episode of whatever... Everything I've done with it (so far) has been successful and infinitely more tasty than "eating out." Very satisfied.
Great Pressure cooker!

I like this little (actually it was bigger than I expected) pressure cooker!! I have an 8qt of another brand that I really love so I thought I'd get a smaller one for the RV. I ended up bringing it in the house and using it because it was a good size for rice. It made wonderful rice and I love how this one has much better instructions plus recipes! I wish it had a manual setting for time as you cannot cook eggs or anything that only takes 3 to 5 minutes unless you just unplug it. I also wasn't fond of the nonstick pot but I knew about these two things from the description and other reviews so I didn't take off of my rating for that. The cooker is just as described and works wonderfully! I had no problem whatsoever with the cord it fit snugly and stayed in. I would recommend this for anyone seeking an everyday pressure cooker with plenty of room for rice, meats, side dishes anything! I have a family of 5 and think this is sufficient in size unless I'm making a lot of potatoes. You may want bigger than a 4qt for soups. I love it though!
Great for the fast paced family.

I love this because it's having a crock pot that cooks food really fast. It's setting are simple and easy to understand. You can cook so many different things in such a short amount of time compared it other cooking methods. It cleans up easily and it is quite nice looking.
