Love, love, love this lens!
Gage & Britt Newton•December 13, 2017
Definitely a great addition to my camera accessories. I use this lens with my Nikon D3200, and have no problems at all. Certified refurbished was definitely a great choice as there were no issues whatsoever. My husband calls it my zoom lens, and he loves using it too even though he doesn't do as much in photography as I do. If you are looking for a great lens that has more zoom capability, this is a great one! I used it to shoot my sisters cheerleading, I had amazing results!
Excellent lens, just beware Nikon sells it or other versions in a kit making the pricing hard to compare
Randomly•October 8, 2017
Costco started selling a version 55-300mm in a kit. However, the one in the kit does not have AF-S (please check if this is still current)
making this lens a better choice. The fact it is refurbished was not a problem, in fact it may be a plus.

This lens is awesome!!

This lens is awesome!!! I'm finally expanding from just having kit lenses and this one was a major upgrade without the extreme expense of most lens upgrades. It produces beautiful light, bokeh, and color. Definitely recommend if you're looking to upgrade from the basic kit lenses.
Fantastic lens, top notch quality

This lens is fantastic. I was a little concerned about buying a refurbished lens, but I have no complaints whatsoever. It was like new when I took it out of the box. It was so much cheaper than buying the lens new. I've been I using it for about 5 months with no issues. If you want to research this lens, check out Ken Rockwell's site. Filled with extremely useful information that will help you make a decision on the right lens.
Good lens for the price

Good lens for the price. f/4 is kinda weak sauce but if you're a professional photographer you already know that and if you're an amateur like me you don't want to spend any more on this category of lens so you deal with it, pick up the pieces, knock the dust off, and get on with your life.
Always buy a UV filter for your lenses to protect the glass! They're only like $12.
