IT's manual focus that;s the way it's advertised the lens body is small and the adapter ring gets large enough to fit the canon Eos but being small you have to have lots of light. You get what you pay for it's OK when you figure the cost

I normally fail at manual lens but I decided to watch a video on this particular model and it helped a lot. My camera is a Canon T7. I kept the appetite at f8, ISO on auto, shutter speed at 500, and zoomed manually. It's a big lens and these pics were taken with me holding the camera. It doesn't have image stabilizer so I'm pretty impressed at how they turned out. The red leaves were blowing hard in the one picture so I put the camera in sports mode and it actually took a decent picture from afar. The bad reviews I had read were mostly from people who didn't know how to set their camera so I hope the settings I have listed help.
