I've been using these for two years and I'm ordering another 10 today. I see several reviews complaining about the cost, but they are very sturdy and well-made. No more struggling with chicken wire or cutting things to fit. These are super easy to use and I don't even stake them into the ground. I move them around all the time when I put in new plants. We have very big rabbits here in Florida and they did major damage before I started using these. Highly recommended!

Perfect size to wrap around my roses to protect from bunnies (and I wrapped them with burlap for winter wind protection). I like that they interlock to close (no zip ties) and that you can connect them together for a larger plant/area. Because they are black they blend into the landscape surprisingly well. Additionally I used these cages around my new Peony and small Hostas and this spring and it helped me identify where I planted the new peony and the rabbits didn't eat my hostas. They held up very well all winter. The price is nuts but after watching the rabbit mow down yet another plant I just ordered more.

I share my back garden with a groundhog, a few rabbits, and lots of squirrels. I'm new to coexisting with animals who like my plants as much as I do. I've used a spray deterrent and homemade chicken wire and hardware cloth cages. The spray deterrent did not deter and the chicken wire made my pollinator garden look like a war zone.
My next step was to shell out for the bunny barricade. These are well-made and as attractive as a wildlife barricade can be. They are the perfect height and are a color that doesn't distract from my plants (no sun glinting off the wires!). They were expensive for me, but I plan on using them forever. They'll be easy to store, if I need to. And now, the pollinators and goldfinches can also enjoy my echinaceas, black-eyed susans, and the asters.
Btw, there are two other methods I'm now using to live harmoniously with my four-legged cohabitants: plant what they don't like (thyme, mint, oregano--I have a list) and use a sprinkling of cayenne pepper until plants get established.

These work well - I've purchased a lot of them over the years. Two gripes - (1) they're WAY too expensive - like $25 each. Not sure why they need to cost so much. And, (2) they're just not tall enough. The bunnies in my yard seem to be able to get up on their hind legs and chow down on stems sticking up over the units. I have at times resorted to stacking them, fastened by plastic wire ties, but then they're even MORE expensive per plant.
All that said, they are for the most part very effective, and they last for years.

I found these cages to be pricey at first, but considering the quality, and the effort I have placed in making plant cages with stakes and chicken wire (time, frustration, only last one season) they are well worth the price. I will be using these for, probably, the rest of my life. They are made of sturdy materials. Even the anchor pins are of a sturdy gage wire. This season the cages are protecting elderberry starts from rabbits and chickens. Next season I am sure I will find a use for them. Well worth the price. Keepers, not junk! Edited to add: Twice now I have seen baby bunnies right outside these cages, looking at the elderberry plants inside. It's pretty funny to see!
