works. oven baked them to renew and it worked fine. try keeping them in a vacuum seal mason jar. even if you put them in a jar and seal the lid, it does not mean it wont stop absorbing moisture, A seal needs to be very good.
Economical dehumidifier.

I use these to make my own desiccants for storing ammo. So far they are working well, and this is a far better (more economical) way of getting it done. Pour some beads into small containers, and put them in with your ammo. Most "dehumidifiers" only keep the moist air in suspension with heat, they do little to absorb the moisture. Do your homework before buying a dehumidifier. Most small units are not worth it.
