So, with this item I can't get the same reading twice where there was dead spots if your testing near the actual box you will pick up the power coming off it. And if you do everything right it's super quite and will give mixed readings.

This type of tool is not easy to use in general, so if you have no experience so make sure you are making the right connections with the signal generator and using the handheld sensor in the correct orientation. It took me a while even after read the user instruction.Overall, it does what it's made to do and I am glad to add it to my ever growing collection of tools. This wire tracker won't be as precise as more expensive ones, but it will certainly get the job done for basic repairs.
