A bit spendy, but worth every penny.

During the summer of 2016 I had to take my ballistic vest home every night, spray it with lysol, and let it air out. I purchased this around Easter time, and during the summer of 2017, I NEVER took my vest home, and it NEVER smelled funky. I have pushed my coworkers to get these also. The only complaints I ever hear are when a coworker didn't use his, which happens when they either forget, or didn't think it was hot enough outside, and now they have a stinky ballistic vest.
I did not know about version 3 when I bought these, and I probably would have gotten that one instead (small difference). One of my coworkers cheaped out and bought version 1, which is noticeably thinner, and he is not as happy of the rest of us with versions 2 and 3.
I use mine in all temperature settings. I wash it in the bathroom sink with bit of laundry detergent, rinse it in the shower, and hang it in the shower overnight.
Wear a vest? MUST have this ! ! !

This vest is AWESOME! I haven't figured out if it keeps me cooler all the time. I do know that you can cool down MUCH FASTER, and you STAY DRIER ! No more fungi spots on your chest. I have proven it works in SE Texas summer. Construction is sturdy, and the vest is holding up well. I clean it by spraying it with deodorant and little bit of baby shampoo, and rinsing it with cold water. It will drip dry over-night.
NOTE: The vest will make you thicker about you middle, therefore if you are at the limits of your shirts now, you will need new shirts.

I wear this product with sleeveless under armour shirts in the Hawaiian heat and humidity. I noticed a difference from the very first day I wore it and now wear it every day. It's no miracle cure but it definitely makes a notable difference so it's worth it. It does soak up a little odor from your soft body armor and you do need to wash it when you wash your carrier. Only down side is the price and it's not made in the USA otherwise I would order extra ones.
Good idea, poor quality for price.

I bought this vest last year. First, for those who think this somehow magically keeps you dry, you're not understanding. This vest helps with airflow between you and the vest. It does help and I liked it. Unfortunately it didn't last very long. approx 5-6 months had gone by and the plastic pieces began poking through the collar area of the vest, irritating my neck pretty bad. It would cut/scratch my face as I put it on. I tried putting pieces of fabric on it to protect my skin, but it was a losing battle. Good idea, quality just isn't there for the price. I can't afford to spend $100 a couple times a year to get new ones.
MUST HAVE! Don't think twice.

I'm doing the police gig from -20 degrees all the way to 105 degrees and this makes a huge difference from day to day work. What I would recommend is buying under armors LOOSE fit and wear it with this in the summer to make life bearable.

This is something that I couldn't image not using every day for work. This is a must have.
