I just got this, so I will have to see how well it holds up, but honestly it is the cutest retro record player. I played a lot of very old vinyl on it and it works beautifully, nice sound for a small case, haven't hooked up external speakers yet, and it just is pleasurable. It is manual- which is fine with me, less to break! I am only interested in playing records, so cannot comment on the USB recording function. I like that I can bring it on a picnic or out on our boat, or outside, due to the internal rechargeable battery.

I'm a budding vinyl enthusiast. I was gifted my mom's awesome turntable, fantastic speakers, and a very cool vintage record collection a few years ago. One of the things I've missed most while living on campus at university was a lack of vinyl. If you're expecting a record to sound as good on a portable record player as a $500+ set up, you clearly need to reevaluate your logic. It's a small unit with small speakers. However, it definitely exceeded my expectation for sound quality, is easily portable, and is perfect for a dorm room. It would also be a great first turntable for someone just testing the waters (vinyl is a pretty big investment). I love this player! I've been using it pretty consistently, and haven't run into any problems yet.
I also used the included software to transfer my vinyl to my laptop, and while it was a bit time intensive, it sounds beautiful. I almost deleted the songs I got as an included download for the album after hearing them together. Worth it just to be able to convert my vintage records.

Have had albums that I could not play for a long time and actually purchased other turntables but had to return. The QFX, performs beautifully. It is an old style suitcase record player. You really get a lot for your money with this one. 3 speeds (most will have 2 speeds) ( comes with a 45 adapter) and if the record has a built it stop, it will stop at the end (does not return the needle though) Pluses for me: Chargeable (so I can set anywhere) and it lasts a while (but does come with adapter to plug in), mine is still playing from the first charge. It also has Bluetooth connectively which synchs flawlessly to my android smartphone. There is a line in port so I can play my iPod Shuffle through the speakers. The turntable starts when you get the needle over the record too. The sound, for a portable, is very good. No, it's not like the sound through a receiver and external speakers but there are RCA jacks that you could hook up that way if wanted. I live in a place that I don't have a receiver hooked up so this works very well. I have not tried the USB connection to record to computer, but it has the hook up and comes with some software. Don't know if I will as part of the fun in playing an LP is the process.

Having read extremely mixed reviews for other small players, I stumbled across this record player with only a few reviews, with the majority wildly positive. I've had the player for a week and I have to agree with the praise. Yes, it has small speakers which clearly do not have the audio range of a full stereo system, so audiophiles will want to give this player a miss. But if, like me, you might listen to vinyl a couple of times a week and only have a relatively small home, this works a treat. It's very portable, and has great additional features like blue tooth, and the ability to add external speakers (although I haven't done that as yet so I can't vouch for how that works out).

So glad I picked up this retro-design three-speed turntable. I love that it has a built-in rechargeable lithium ion battery so I can virtually take this portable suitcase turntable with me anywhere I go [outside in the back yard to relax or to the park or on a picnic]. It has an RCA output so I can connect larger speakers, which at this point I have not yet used because I think the sound quality is superb. It's exactly what you would hope to get and possibly a little more. I was so pleased I picked one up that I bought a second as a gift for some friends to share in the fun!!
