These bowls arrived incredibly fast and I was excited to unpack them as my glass Pyrex ones had all but broke. As I unpacked the Amazon box, I was surprised to find these bowls in a plain white box. No markings or Sagler emblem. Nothing but a small UPC symbol with numbers. There was no paperwork in the box, specifying anything.
The bowls were just as plain with no Sagler signs, BPA free notices, dishwasher warnings-- nothing. So I am thinking I got had for a "copycat" brand of bowl. I inspected the bowls. They are a nice weight, seem sturdy, the rubber on the bottom seems to do its "No slip" job.
The measurements on the inside are a silver hue, not black like the picture seems to show. It is a little difficult to see but can be seen with a little effort.
I tested one bowl for the measurement accuracy and it was fine. I would not be using it for accurate measurements but I was curious as some wrote in that they were inaccurate. I did not find that to be the case.
The lids are secure and I love that they stack tight. I need some compact storage containers and these are versatile and will do the trick.
To ease my concerns about the "fake bowls", I looked at the Sagler website and found the UPC numbers for their bowls. It does match the numbers on this box. So, I guess they are authentic.
All in all, they seem like a great deal for under $30. I'll write again in a few months to update.

Five Stars

I've used them for about 9 months and these are my thoughts:
-They stack well
-No rust so far, despite leaving them to air dry.
-Wouldn't use them in dishwasher due to the bottoms but that hasn't been a problem.
-Slight scratches are on the surfaces of some of them, but superficial only and not a problem to me at all.
-The non skid part on the bottom doesn't skid and has proven very useful.
-I've used the grater once. it's "fine."
-The lids aren't super double tight and probably would leak some if turned over, but won't just come off if you take a sharp turn in the car or something.
-I'd give it 4.5/5 but am rounding up life is too short to keep .5 stars to yourself.

Really A Quality Set Of Bowls

I've resisted getting stainless steel bowls for a long time because they're noisy to use, wash, put away and all that. These bowls, however, have a rubber bottom that makes them quite silent when using on a counter top or other surface. The assortment of sizes if very good and suited to tasks necessary for real cooking and prep. If you use a wire whisk, they will develop small scratch marks (all stainless does). Sure, you can use a plastic/synthetic coated whisk, yet, in my experience coated whisks don't really do a very good job.
I like using these as they're lighter than my old glass bowls and easier on my aging wrists. I find the grater insert useless as I use a mandolin for that sort of thing.

Lids are not designed well

The bowls are great, but if you don't bend the lids as you put them on so you can let some air out they will just pop off. The lids are a pretty hard plastic though which makes it kind of difficult at times. I have used other lids with a sort of rubber vent on the top so you can close them then give them an air tight seal. I wish these had that.
PERFECT!

I've been waiting to do this review. So much to say. I am a big time baker doing marathon cookies (12 - 18 recipes in 2-3 day) over the holidays. I don't have time for anything to slow me down. I have a few left over metal bowls. I also (had) a nested set of clear glass bowls from William Sonoma. For years I've been using the glass bowls but bickered over how heavy they were, trying to get them out of the cupboard and then one, two broke during my efforts. I was increasingly reaching for the old metal bowls. Now I wanted a whole new set. Criteria: 1) Metal, 2) had a ring handle on the side (while using blender), 3) rubber bottoms and 4) good quality metal. These bowls satisfied ALL criteria. I used them for all recipes. Oops - used Kitchen aid Mixer for one recipe. I kept some of the smaller glass bowls for measuring dry ingredients but the rest have already gone to Goodwill. Love these bowls. Great value for the price as well.
