it's great, i love the concept behind it
Amazon Customer✓ Verified Purchase•January 7, 2018
I decided in 2018 to make this year my year of being on track. I purchased this planner after careful review of other planners and I was excited. But as I started marking out the dates, I realized, there was a problem. The monthly calendar goes for 6 months, the weekly for 3 months and the daily for three months. ERRR why??? Then I realized, to complete my year, I would have to purchase 3 more planner books for a total of $120. OMG this is nuts. So, before you purchase this, and don't get me wrong, it's great, i love the concept behind it, ask yourself, are you willing to spend $120 for a year planner? I'm not. Sorry Panda. Make a full year planner that doesn't cost $120 and I'll use it!
More than keeping track of what you "do"; Keeping track of "why/how" to do it!
Jennifer B•September 8, 2017
I've always used a analog paper calendar/planner even once I started using digital calendars to keep track of big day/yearly events and/or appointments. They've always helped keep me on track little by little, instead of only acknowledging "appointments" that were set. This Panda planner, however, puts into perspective WHY you are taking part in your daily task(s), events, meetings, etc etc. It helps you keep track, sure, but it motivates in a way that's based on your individual goals, insights to how your days are, and/or priorities in life. I really appreciate how thought out it is, and love the little things like gratitude and specific exercise section. I used to actually add these things to normal planners, squeezing them into corners and such. No more; this planner is great for someone who likes to stay on top of things but also wants to focus on (or realize) what's actually important to them as they progress through each individual day. I appreciate that there are similar sections, additionally, to review weeks and the whole month(s). Great planner. I bought another one for my husband right away and he's been loving it as well!
Positive affirmations are important
Steve•August 15, 2017
This is a cool concept. I like the idea of daily affirmations to help increase positivity in your life. I got it when it was on sale. You can setup your own journal really easily if you use the interwebs but I like the format of this particular journal.
The daily, weekly, and monthly views allow adequate space to write down whatever you need to write down in the respective area. The downside is your are locked in to the categories that the developers want you to use but you can color outside of the lines and do your own thing if you want. For someone who is new to this planner thing, I appreciate the prompts. For the money, I think there's adequate entries. I'm not sure how long this is meant to least--6 months, 1 year? I dunno. But it seems like a reasonable price for what you get, especially if it's on sale.
The only thing I don't like is that it's a hardback. I like to keep pens inside my journals, but having a hardback isn't really conducive to it. I think there's a softcover version but when I purchased this one, I didn't realize there were different options, otherwise I would have gotten the softcover. Well, whenever I fill this out, looks like I'll get to buy the other version.

... this as a gift for a friend and I love it. I also got the Pro Planner version ...

I bought this as a gift for a friend and I love it. I also got the Pro Planner version for myself which works well for my desk but I like this smaller version because: 1) the material is soft and flexible, 2) it's easy to throw into a bag, and 3) it's still large enough so I don't feel like I'd have to smush my notes on there. Even though I got this version for my friend, I might get one for myself for when I'm traveling. This would also make a great gift for anyone who uses a vision board and is keeping track of their goals and what not. Definitely would recommend this for you to use for yourself or for friends who like to keep their days organized but don't want a boring, regular planner.
Only has 95 "day" pages

I purchased this planner in anticipation of my first year in college. I like the idea of the planner- being able to reflect upon your day, week, and month, whilst allowing hourly planning with a larger time-frame than other planners: from 6AM to 9PM. I find it rather odd that it begins at 6AM, to be quite honest, but I suppose some people can use it. The planner is divided into three sections: months, weeks, and then days. There are three ribbons attached to the spine, so you can mark the current month, week, and day (very helpful). I'm giving 3 days because of the frustrating lack of consistency between the three sections. There are 6 months, 16 weeks. and 95 days. Describing the planner as lasting "3-6 months" is rather vague, and didn't speak of the actual contents of the planner. I would much rather the planner was labeled as just lasting 3 months, and cut down the month pages to reflect that. A family member suggested that I just fill in the day pages as needed to stretch out the planner's lifespan, but that defeats the entire purpose in my mind. I purchased this with the intention of PLANNING ahead, and thus need to have the days pre-written in. Also defeats the purpose of daily reflection. In short, I like the idea of the planner, but I will not be purchasing again as I'd rather find a similar planner that actually spans 6 months.
That being said- if you're looking for a nice 3 month planner that allows self-reflection, goal-setting, and personal growth, on top of planning capabilities, this is probably the planner for you. I find that the binding is sturdy, the pages a decent weight, and the book well-made as a whole. There's even a pocket on the back cover for small bits of paper or notes.
Update: I'm raising the review rating to 4 stars, having used it for a few weeks now. I believe the planner is very helpful in generating introspection, and gives ample room to write down tasks and assignments for the day. The book is holding up wonderfully, even though it spends a good portion of its time at the bottom of my bag. I really appreciate the elastic band that keeps the book closed. However, I still think that I will purchase a different planner for the coming year- albeit one without the daily/weekly/monthly reflections- because the price is a bit much for a planner that will only last me 3 months.
