If you or a family member works with people who are confined to a bed most of the day, and they have bed bugs, or you travel a lot staying in hotels, these encasements are the best option for keeping your bedding from getting infested. Its much harder to nearly impossible to find and kill all of these pests when you do not have a cover as they can and will get into every possible place that can squeeze into. With these encasements you do your daily inspections, and kill the ones you can see, spraying once a week just for extra measure. You have to be careful about the fit you choose as these run a tad large. The quality of the material and craftsmanship are excellent. Comes with sipper tab covers at the end so ensure no pests sneak in. Machine washable.

I orginally bought this bed encasement because I'm pregnant and just got a new allergy to dust mites. Ever since putting this cover on I haven't woken up with any skin reactions/bites at all. So I was really happy about my purchase. BUT THEN my husband bought fireworks July 4th from somebody's house and they had bed bugs apparently because he brought one home last night. He woke up with bites this morning and we had no idea what it could have been. I didn't find the actual small bed bug until this afternoon when we were laying down on our bed. It was on top of our sheet, and my guess is that it wasn't able to get into our mattress because of our new encasement. Now this makes me so happy that we purchased this encasement! We didn't even buy it for bed bugs but I'm so glad this works for both dust mites and bed bugs or else who knows what would've happened..
(Update): turns out he brought more than one, and we had to get rid of the whole bed, mattress, bed frame, and headboard. We didn't keep the mattress because we didn't want to take any chances. With that said, we got a new bed and I purchased another cover from here and I still love it as much as before. I'd definitely recommend anyone to get this!

to the people that still see the bugs, you cant have your bed touching any walls, they will climb up the walls, use the climb up traps on your bed legs, and couch legs, 99% rubbing alcohol will kill them and the eggs on contact, they are very very hard to get rid of, we even moved and just a couple bugs is all it took for them to infest the new house, they can lay up to 5 eggs a day but the eggs takes about a week to hatch, thats just a little info to help atleast get your problem under control, if you have the money the best thing you can do is get a heat treatment done, they heat your whole house to 120 degrees for a couple hours.....well good luck

Love this encasement! I bought it for my new mattress (T&N) and it fit perfectly! It does not make the mattress hot and it does not feel like plastic (I have no idea how it works but it does!). I spilled some water and my mattress stayed dry. It was a great investment! Great price and great quality. The company also seems very responsive and the mattress comes with several plastic hooks in case you have to open it again. Overall a great purchase!

The shipping box was fine, everything else that came in the same amazon box was fine, the plastic cover that the mattress encasement came in was fully sealed and did not have any holes or scratches...but somehow the encasement itself was WET! Obviously NOT waterproof. I did not even bother to take it out. Returing immediately. So disappointing
