VASTLY superior to any "calligraphy-style" felt markers
Ryan•October 29, 2016
Those crappy felt calligraphy pens don't leave the ink saturation that these pens are capable of, and they also tend to fray and ruin the clean edges of your lines. These pens feature innovative metal tips that do not dull, bend, break, or wear.
Not only do they create great, clean lines, but they are actually LESS expensive than some of the felt alternatives! Ideal for people who want something better than felt but aren't quite ready to deal with the mess and hassle of a traditional, and admittedly ancient, dip pen or quill. Ink refilling couldn't be easier. PRO TIP: Once you've used up an ink cartridge, you can re-fill it with.... whatever you want! Get creative!
I have a new lifelong, satisfying hobby thanks to this simple $24 purchase.

... these pilot calligraphy pens meet and exceeded my expectations and with practice possible experimental writing with multi colors as suggested in instructions (disappointed that more colors not included ... ) workmanship and product quality suggest longevity and fine writing instruments without sticker shock
Versatile pens

These are amazing. I'm still learning the art, but these are fun to use, and are very versatile. The 2.4mm is the one I use the most, but the other sizes will be fun to play with.
Great starter set variety

I bought these for my boyfriend and I to doodle with, as we love the sound of calligraphy pens (ASMR, anyone?) and wanted to learn how to use them. After checking out the single pens I decided we needed several differently shaped/sized nibs and settled on the 4 pen set which was a better deal per pen. Each pen comes with two ink cartridges (one red, one black), a nib, a barrel, a cap, and a plastic pipette for cleaning the nibs out. The cartridges are easy to install; popping them into the nib then giving them a light squeeze a few times will get the ink flowing to the nib, but don't squeeze too hard or you'll have a giant mess. A couple of the pens initially had trouble with ink flow to all the nib channels leaving a skip in the lines, but they eventually starting working correctly. Extra cartridges are widely available and easy to swap out. This set, a pad of calligraphy paper, and a bottle of wine make for a great evening for two 30-somethings who act like 80-year-olds! These would also be a good starter set for a youngin'.
An amazing set of pens

Ink flows perfectly and doesn't leak. They are an absolute joy to write with and I still get excited to use them after several months of owning them. Sometimes I use them just because they are so much fun. They are quite literally the best pens I have used
