This is an easy way to get a number of commonly used potentiometer values at a fair price.
There are two additional things that is nice about these:
1) the max value of each is printed on each of them
2) they can be easily used with breadboards because the pin spacing is the same as on common breadboards. you can just push them into the breadboard.

They are good smooth linear potentiometers but some of them are not ...

They are good smooth linear potentiometers but some of them are not very accurate with there ratings. My 100k ohm pot maxes out at about 89k ohm so its good for a voltage divider for as an input to an arduino but if you need accuracy with the ratings just be wary. I don't know if i was lucky but the rest were +-5%. I tested them with my fluke 177.
