Good size for a rainstick and sounds good (not sure how to evaluate a rainstick). I also love that it supports a good cause. However, as some other reviews stated it does have some sharp bumps on it. I imagine you could sand those down a bit, but just know that if kids are going to be using this.

Nice item. Sturdy and nice sound. We are using it more as a maracca than a rain stick, but it fits the bill for either. It appears to be an instrument that shouild last a while, it looks quite unique and the fact that money is donated to a cause (I'm assuming a good one, though I'm not familiar with them) when you purchase this item is an added bonus. Would buy again.

The stick itself served its purpose. Unfortunately, I had the opportunity to use my coworker's stick that is considerably larger. As a result, I was expecting the rain flow to be smoother and the noise to be more like rain falling, the shorter stick and the quick flowing beads simply didn't create the sound I desired.
This is a good size and sounds really good

I bought this for my 5 year old son. He has been wanting one since he played with on in music. This is a good size and sounds really good. I am giving it a 4 star because the colorful band did not come in that color. It came in pink. Uggg, so frustrating for a boy to have. I don't recall reading that the colors would vary.

My husband is a Marriage and Family Therapist. He currently works with emotionally disturbed and physically abused children. During their therapy sessions he will sometimes teach them different ways to channel their aggression or different ways to focus when they are feeling overwhelmed. It helps bring them back to center. It is calming and soothing!
The kids really love the rain stick it allows them to focus on the sounds as it rains down. The only thing that would make it better is if it was longer but I suppose you could always buy a longer one!
