I finally received my ladder yesterday and I am so pleased with it! I am using my ladder for decoration only so the splinter aspect doesnt bother me. I knew it was going to be splintery as it is reclaimed wood. I love it so much! It looks adorable in my living room! I got the weathered gray color and it is perfect size for my apartment at 4 ft. I put twinkle lights around it and it is nice lit up at night.

Very disappointed. Not what I was expecting. This actually belongs in a barn. When I ordered I certainly didn't get the the many choice in sizes I see now that are available. May as well put $50 down the toilet.

Update 4: see photos that show the product label specifying 18 inches and the actual measurement of 15 inches. I am still waiting for Barnwood's promised replacement of this product
Update 3: still waiting for the long ago promised resolution of the problem with the size of my ladder (3 inches narrower than specified). If there were negative stars I would give them. This is not a reputable company.
Update 2: The promised follow-up by Barnwood to address my issue has not occurred. It is now almost 4 weeks since I heard from Barnwood.
Update: Barnwood reached out to me and offered to rectify the problem. That is the last I heard from them -- all talk and no action.

Do not buy this product if you have any intentions of using it as a blanket holder! I had a splinter even before I pulled it out of the poorly wrapped box. I can only imagine using it as a wall decoration up so high that no one would be able to get near it, and wearing heavy leather gloves to hang it. Terribly disappointed as I have these "rustic" barn ladders in several bedrooms and none have been this poor of quality.
