Heavier duty than i was expecting. Pleasantly surprised. Not stamped steel like others, very nice quality but adds very little bulk for hard to reach oil filters. I have a vw rabbit with a modified later model engine squeezed in so mm's count... This is the perfect solution for me.

I am a VW Technician and this thing blows away what I used to use and what most other techs in the shop use. The brands that everyone else and myself used to use do not have the dimples that hold them on your socket or extension, so they fall off if you're not holding. Not an issue with this one, very high quality. I am extremely happy with my purchase after the one that I purchased off the tool truck shattered due to an over tightened 2.5 filter housing.
Should have bought this sooner.

Took the effort out of what was usually the worst part of an oil change on my Jetta. Usually had to use a set of channellocks and a lot of swearing to get the filter housing off. That resulted in some gouging and damage to the housing.
To get this wrench to fit on the housing, I had to degrease the housing and then sand down/file off some of the deeper gouges, but after that it went on easy and made the rest of the job easy too.

Worked perfectly and quickly for my 996 oil filter cap on my most recent oil change. As other reviewers have said, it seems well built. The walls are thick enough it seems unlikely this filter wrench will bend, and the shape of the corners seems like it will allow a good fit while preventing or reducing chance of rounding off the corners of the oil filter cap. The 996 has plenty of room for the thick walls.
I got an email from the company right after the shipment arrived asking for how things are going. I did not contact them, but nice to see proactive service.
The price seems competitive, relative to other filter wrenches that seem to be of high quality. I bought this product to proactively avoid risk of draining the oil and then having the filter wrench break, or have the plastic filter cap break, or have it be a poor fit and futz with it for an hour. I've had those problems in the past (other cars).

Fit perfect on my E 320 oil filter, had a hard time before getting the oil filter off at changes, Oh for the money you can't beat this deal.
