As other reviews have said, this item arrives very well packaged and in excellent condition. One clear diagram (nicely printed and included) makes it obvious how to assemble the shelves in just a few minutes (basically you build it upside down). It is absolutely perfect in my application -- the wood base blends well with the plastic shelves, a design that keeps the weight down, and it is very sturdy. The choice of two shelf heights, and the free inclusion of extra shelf struts, is an outstanding feature -- you can change your mind later, varying the four possible build combinations as you see fit and as your equipment changes. I have a big Onkyo AV receiver on the bottom, the smallish Samsung BluRay player and the Comcast Xfinity box sharing the second shelf, and my legacy Panasonic VCR/DVD Combo on the top (the Panasonic has no ventilation holes on the top) with a Samsung LCD TV on its factory-supplied base (which on its own did not swivel, ouch!) crowning the Panasonic. I needed this height to see the TV properly in my room -- all this and the unit rotates fine and is rock solid. Very impressive. No longer do I live without swivel.
