Great for small dogs! I have a 3lb chihuahua and she LOVES this bag. She get so excited when I pull it out because she knows she gets to go places. I have used it for walking around Savannah Ga, Las Vegas NV, and visiting many shops and restaurants. My dog is very quiet and many people don't even know she's in there which can be very helpful. I put her blanket in the bottom to make it more comfortable for her. The bottom is very sturdy and it holds its shape well so she is never squished. It can get a little uncomfortable on your back when using it for extended periods of time (I had it on for about 8 hours before my back started hurting) BUT it is way better than the sling bags or holding her. Also in photos I noticed it looks like it protrudes a lot when on your back but I have the small size and as a small female it looks and feels like any normal backpack, not bulky or anything

Purchased Large. The quality is fine, but I'm returning. My 14 pound dog looks very similar to the dog in the picture. The problem is, when she sits (in the up position, on her butt with front legs vertically straight) her head just reaches the top. So while she can be comfortably zipped in, her face is directly behind the cloth, and not the mesh. She has to either lay down or pop up (like the dog in the picture) to see out. There's no riding comfortably in the sitting up position. Also, while the back pack itself isn't too heavy, she is 14 pounds and it feels incredibly heavy to wear. I think once you reach that weight, additional straps that go across the wearers chest and belly might be helpful. Our purpose for purchasing is for occasional hikes when we will be outpacing her endurance (she's getting up there in age) so it wouldn't be comfy to wear long distance.

Decent quality, should be a 4 star but it's not expensive and not low quality just not great. The top window doesn't provide as much visual... can't think of the word, my cat can't see everything perfect out the window. But it has side windows that they can see out of. If this bag was any more expensive it's a 4 star bag. Officially I give it 4.25 stars

I love love love this bag. We have a Morkie that weighs 5 lbs and she goes everywhere with us. Our son races dirt bikes and we use this bag at every race. I use to use a front bag but carring her all day starts to get slightly uncomfortable, this bag is very comfortable. I purchased a size small and she has plenty of room. It also has a place to put a drink.

Everywhere I go, I'm always looking for the perfect dog bag. Once modified, this is the best small dog backpack I have ever found. Although it is strictly a dog bag, and holds nothing else. At 5 lbs, It's hard to find bags that my toy poodle won't fly around in.

I cut a piece of cardboard to fit the bottom, and wrapped it in non-skid black cupboard liner, which makes it very supportive and easier for her to grip the bottom with her little feet as I move. I also made a tubular bolster, so she wouldn't slide around, and could rest more comfortably.

What I love about this bag is that it is very light weigh and small. It sits high on my back. I can even wear it on the front if necessary, but it's not flattering at all like that, just convenient for quick access. I love the air vents on all sides, esecially the large top vent. The zipper has stayed very secure. It looks pretty sleek, and not necessarily like a dog bag, which is great for grocery shopping, dining, or incognito needs.

I would like to see the side pockets improved and I would love an inside pocket. The side pockets have no elasticity, so nothing fits or stays in them securely. Would be great if they were more elastic and would hold a water bottle, and/or had s zipper. It would also be great if it had a thin pocket against your back for an iPad. But beggars can't be choosers.

Bottom line: For the price, you can't go wrong.
