Works perfectly!

I was leery buying a timer as none seemed to have what I consider to be a large number of reviews, at least not the timers with the features I wanted. I purchased this to control Christmas lights and it worked perfectly. I wanted a timer that I could set by time - not just dusk/dawn settings - and this does just that and was incredibly simple to program with easy to follow instructions. The lights came on at 4:45p each day (yep, I like to see my own lights on as I get home from work) and turned off at 11pm. The timer was plugged into an outlet on a covered porch, so I'm not 100% sure how it would hold up if out in the elements but it does seem pretty heavy duty.

While not as sleek as the white indoor version, it does have TWO 3-prong plugs for your power needs making it more flexible and it is more rugged for outdoor use (with some slack on a short 1' cord).
Pros: 4 pre-set times for plug and use setup, 1 programmable start/stop time, countdown
Con: Only 1 programmable start/stop time...so if you want more options, look elsewhere

Reliable, outdoor timer! Not just a dawn to dusk!

I have tried a lot of timers. This one works! Easy to set, keeps the time for a while if you lose power, has built in clock!. Finally one that works. Most of the ones are just for dawn to dark, this works any way you need it to.
Update: Nov. 2017, This is still working great. It has held the time when the power is out, with not change of the original battery, that is for that purpose.

Easy set up & reliable even in the PHX heat

Easy to set up and reliable. What's not to love. I use this to turn on and off the decorative string lights on my back patio. I live in Phoenix, AZ and sometimes certain timers don't hold up well in the heat, even though I have it the shade all day. I bought this one in August (a scorching month and it won't cool off here until late October), and I haven't had any problems as of yet. I'll update if that changes. Very pleased with this so far and think it is going to last.

This is a great little timer, I use it to turn on some decorative lights in our backyard in the evening. It replaces a block heater timer that should have worked fine, but it kept defaulting the time every 2 or 3 days so I would have to reset it, so my search was on for a replacement and I found this one. It had good reviews (thank you everyone), and so far so good it has worked flawlessly, I found it easy to program, but only use the time on/off so I can't comment on all the other features. Great purchase!
