My husband used the neck pillow this weekend for a cross-country flight and it worked fine, for a lot of reasons

We are preparing for trip to Africa. Its a loooong plane ride from here to Tanzania and, with the time difference (they are 12 hours ahead!) we will have to sleep on the plane or arrive all tired out for our adventure of a lifetime. I bought this neck pillow based on reviews here on Amazon and reviews from the travel sites. As usual, this method worked out for us. My husband used the neck pillow this weekend for a cross-country flight and it worked fine, for a lot of reasons. One, it rests comfortably on the shoulders and gives the neck the support it needs. Two, its easy to blow up and contract. Three, it is stored in the little bag you see and can be attached to luggage so it doesn't take up precious storage space within. It is very easy to use the clip. Four, the material is comfortable and soft and it looks upscale. I can't think of any negatives.
Perfect except for the loud squeaking

This pillow is soft and comfy, fits my body well, is easy to inflate and deflate, is convenient to carry, and I like that it's adjustable.
The problem is that it takes a lot of pushes to inflate, and each one sounds like a bike horn. (It's even louder in person than it is in the video.)
Since I didn't see this in any other reviews I figured I must be doing something wrong but the instructions are simple and I followed them exactly.
I thought the sound might go away with some breaking in, but I've inflated and deflated it three times with no change.
Unfortunately the squeaking renders this pillow completely unusable. I'll be exchanging it, hopefully for one that doesn't have this problem, and I'll update this review when I receive the new one.

I received a nice email from the vendor that encouraged trying the product

I have always preferred inflatable travel pillows for my air travel because of ease of packing and stowing them when not in use. I have never been attracted to the stuffed pillows because there is no reducing them--people need to either wear them around their neck or hang them from their carry-ons pre-boarding. I prefer to have my pillow in my carry-on bag/purse. I have until now used the inflatable pillows that one must inflate by mouth. I was prepared to get another (third of kind) when I happened on this product. Since reviews were so favorable, I ordered it. Soon after its arrival, I received a nice email from the vendor that encouraged trying the product, sharing instructions for use, and a link to a demo video. They clearly want maximum satisfaction. Everything is exactly as described, and I love that this can be inflated with its own built-in pump mechanism! No more having to use mouth! Both inflates and deflates simply, and the design is comfortable! It perhaps requires a tad more space than my previous models, but any extra bulk is because if added features! I found it easy to put back in its bag, and can either stow it in a carry-on, or externally attached by its caribiner to carry-on or belt-loop. Recommend!
Just OK

I don't love this style of travel pillow, but if I wanted this kind (U-shape), I'd be pretty happy with it, I suppose. The fabric is nice; it is lightweight; and it packs easily into its little travel bag. It inflates easily and deflates quickly. I prefer it with the points down, which I think is considered upside down.
I have a hard time getting to sleep even in my own bed, so a good travel pillow is worth a lot to me. So far, I purchased three types, and this is my least favorite. My husband wanted it because of the small size, so to each his own. The other two are the Travel Pillow | Memory Foam Side Sleeper Pillow for Airplane, Car, Bus or Train - Best Travel Pillow for Isle, Middle & Window - Neck Cushion | Grey. and the J-pillow Travel Pillow - Head, Chin and Neck Support - British Invention of the Year 2013..
Pros and cons of the trio:
Memory foam pillow: 5 stars
(+) Memory foam insert is superb. Great contours and firmness
(+) Big enough to avoid falling into crack between seat and window
(+) Keeps my head from tipping forward or to side too much
(+) Easy to remove fabric covering to wash
(-) Product information claims it only weighs 8 oz, but it actually weighs 0.8 pounds (50% more! Bad!)
(-) Bulky to travel with unless you smash it
(-) Strap isn't as long as I would like
J-Pillow 4 stars
(+) The lightest of the three (0.5 pounds)
(+) Soft and cozy
(+) Some support under chin
(-) Slides around on seat back
(-) Not as much side (and chin) support as I would like
Daydreamer (this item) 3 stars
(+) The smallest one
(+) Light weight (0.6 pounds)
(-) I worry that it will spring a leak
(-) Least comfortable - pushes head forward; not enough side support

Ergonomically correct

Finally! A proper neck pillow! I just returned from an 8-day tour of the Yucatan Peninsula. I got there by plane, then was on a bus between all of the stops. This pillow was a lifesaver. I got the pink, but there are many colors from which to choose. It is indeed as easy as they say to inflate and deflate. I'm picky about neck pillows and have used several different kinds. I wanted something I could keep reasonably clean, and I didn't want one that I couldn't pack easily. The "filled" ones simply take up too much space. Plus the fact that they are stiff as a board, so you have to make the accommodation, when, ideally, the pillow should accommodate you. I'm happy to report that this one does exactly that. You can put in less air if you want it to be a tiny bit "squishy." The little storage bag is easy to attach to the outside of your carry-on bag.
