Base of Unit not Level

My first impression isn't a good one. The base of the unit isn't level. It wobbles a full inch. It may be torqued so I'll try to loosen some bolts and see if that improves the situation. It didn't. It appears that the bottom plate was damaged and bent.

This is a very nice stuffer. The fact that it is horizontal cuts down on the amount left in the tube. Very well made, sturdy, easy to clean and pumps out the sausage. @ speeds make compacting and release a snap. Helps to have 2 people doing the stuffing, one cranking and one working the casing. Grandson loves helping.

This thing is a beast. Well worth the money. Very heavy duty. Watch some of the rounded edges some are sharp. Had it on the floor and kicked it on accident and got a nasty 5 inch cut. Might want to check all the rounded corners to make sure they are not knife blade shard and dull them down.

Bought the 11lb/5L stuffer for the up coming deer season. We's had a successful season and wound up stuffing approximately 180lbs of meat. 25lbs was stuffed into hog casings the rest into 2lb meat bags. The stuffer performed as expected. The only issue we had was the handle on the crank came unscrewed a couple of times. If we would have stopped to tighten it with a wrench it likely would have solved this issue. 1 person operation was possible when stuffing the 2lb bags but a bit more difficult when stuffing the hog casings. It was much faster to use the HAKKA stuffer over my LEM grinder with stuffing attachment.

What a pleasure to use during this years annual sausage tradition. Our 55th year and 800lbs of italian sausage. The stuffer worked flawlessly and sped things up significantly over the old worm screw type grinder/stuffer! Easy to load, use, and clean!
We used the 7liter horizontal and perfect for us. If you don't have a lot of table space then you might want to consider a verticle unit over the horizontal. The horizontal worked perfectly.
As a family, we've made over 12 tons of sausage over the years. I can attest that the hakka stuffer is well made and a great filnd for us!!
