Amazing for VR workouts great for the price. a lil big, could be more adjustable

overall I'm happy with this thing. got mine for 58$ with shipping included, which for a weighted item is a complete steal. I am really confused looking at the listing the day after I received the vest, seems like the price nearly doubled after you now have to pay shipping.
I'm using the vest mostly for VR workouts to have a weighted component that doesn't inhibit movement and has a minimal chance of injury. I tried weighted gloves and not only was it harder to manipulate the controller but over time it is bad for your joints and you can easily pull something if you have too much of a fast twitch reaction to the game/workout, so stay away from them. So far it is fantastic and exactly what I'd hoped for. Should make longer play sessions of non workout games better as well, as it will add weight to crouching, sneaking and dodging.

I am 5'10 150lbs and this thing feels a little boxy and bulky, it will take some tweaking to have all the weights installed (40lbs) and not have some chafing in the armpit area while moving around and swinging my arms. If money were no option I would absolutely go for a vest where the weight was more evenly distributed, in smaller increments, so it could move with your waist and torso contortions. But as I said before, for the price it is the best option I could find.
I did not purchase the shoulder pads but I think it is an unreasonably pricey upgrade considering it seems to add 30-50$ to the total. That being said you will definitely need something to keep the vest from digging into your clavicle and shoulders. This thing is unbearably rough after even a short use on my shoulders, as in it is not something I felt comfortable just toughing though out of fear of a postural injury, so on each side I just jammed a shoulder-length cutting of insulation foam tubing sliced down one side to open it up. It stays put and works great, super comfortable even at the 40lb weight even with alot of moving around, though of course for more public workouts you might want to find a more svelte solution, it looks pretty janky. My guess is they are upselling the shoulder pads to make up the shipping cost they are eating, which understandably is pretty huge.
A bit large for women

I like that you can adjust the weight of the vest. However, it is a bit large for women. It chafes on my arms because I can't move them without brushing the sides of the vest. I would love to see a smaller size with the same adjustable features.
used before fire 1 and 2 classes

I needed to get used to carrying extra weight for fire 1 and 2 class physical testing, I wore it to use with stair stepper at gym.
Comfortable, sturdy, well-made, and a much-needed change up for the workout routine

I purchased this weighted vest (with shoulder pads) mainly to change up and increase the intensity of my cardio workouts which usually take place in the form of running/jogging. Having used the vest a number of times now, I'm quite happy that I purchased it.

Comfort and fitment are critical to me. The vest molds well to my upper body and with a few adjustments on the side straps I find it to be pretty tolerable for running. I usually adjust it a time or two before beginning in order to dial-in just the right amount of "snugness," so it's not too tight so as to restrict my breathing, but also not too loose to bounce around while I pound the pavement. I have not had any issues whatsoever with the straps bothering my shoulders, albeit, this is only a 20-pound vest. It's comfortable enough during warmups and cool-downs that the vest is hardly noticeable to me. It's worth noting that it's been cold here, so I've been layering up with multiple shirts/sweatshirts, so that may provide a benefit in terms of the comfort of the shoulder straps.

The materials and construction of the vest appear to be very robust. Time will tell, but based on what I see, this is a tough and rugged setup that is built to last.

As far as the weights go, I was a little worried that since they are sand filled bags that they would be prone to failure and leaking, but they seem to be put together well enough. I've played around with them a bit and don't have any difficulty getting them out or back in to make adjustments. For what it is worth, and this is just my opinion based on what I am seeing, I think if you take the weight packs out, you want to keep them aside somewhere so they can hold their shape thereby making it easier to get them back into their compartments on the vest.

For a touch over 40 bucks with the shoulder pads, I'm impressed with this vest. It bears the weight evenly and comfortably. I was looking as some vests with plates, but to me, for jogging, this type of vest seems like it affords the best fitment.

Overall, this vest is a nice addition to workouts that were getting a bit stale, and at a price that seems pretty darn good. I really don't have anything bad to say about it, but if something changes in the future I will come back with an update.
Just know that these are sand bags

I don't want to be too hard on this product because if you read everything about it it is clear that they use sandbags. I just missed it.

Sandbags are not nearly as compact or durable as metal weights. That said, the vest seems well built and comfortable. As long as you are not needing something compact, this could work great for you.
