I was a bit hesitant about trying a disk tip stylus, but have been so dissatisfied with dome tip styluses that I went ahead & ordered this to try. Boy! Am I glad I did! I'm a total convert & will never buy another dome tip stylus again! This disk tip is far superior & extremely easy to use! It's exactly as advertised. It allows you to actually see exactly what you're tapping & you can use the edge of the disk for more refinement if desired. I use it on my old Toshiba Thrive tablet (that has a protective plastic film cover) & my new iPad Pro (which has a protective glass plate cover). It does not work on my iPhone 7 (with its protective glass plate cover). I don't understand why it works on my iPad & not on my iPhone 7, but it doesn't. Weird.
I do highly recommend this if TechMatte makes a couple refinements on the next production batch. I read a few reviews about the loose cap so wasn't surprised when my stylus arrived with a loose jiggly cap. This didn't bother me. I didn't consider the clicking noise it made to be a big deal. What did bother me was the sharp edges on the pen clip which dug into my hand during use. I considered filing them down but worried about making it worse. So I just put tape over the clip & around the pen. This negates the purpose of the clip but makes it much more comfortable to use. The second problem I had was with the retractable aspect. After about 5 months of daily use (2-3 hours per day on average), the pen tip would no longer retract. At all. I still hear clicks from inside the barrel when I press the cap, but the tip will not retract. As a result, I can no longer take the pen in my purse when I go out. I leave it in a drawer in my studio when not in use now, to protect the tip. A small inconvenience. Even so. I still love this stylus! I truly hope Techmatte improves the product. With the improvements, I would buy one for every person on my gift list!

I love being able to see the point of contact with the screen. Those rubbery half-dome styluses don't let you see what you're doing. Showed this to some friends who've been drawing on iPads for years, they both warned "but the disc falls offandit's expensive to replace!" They were very excited about this stylus' retracting action that protects the disc.

Works great. The clear disk makes it easier to see more of what you're tapping on, so it's ideal for highlighting and annotating documents.

I have tried many stylus. I am one that likes to create on my tablet. This is THE BEST I have come across. If you like to tinker on your tablet you can not go wrong. Stay away from the real cheap ones they simply don't work. I highly recommend this stylus.
