I bought one and it just didn't work all the time. I was afraid I had bought a piece of junk and considering the time that had passed from the time I bought it to when I reached out to customer service at TecTecTec. I was pleasantly shocked and impressed by the customer service I received. They had no issues on exchanging my rang finder for a new one. They even sent me a new battery. I've taken it on several hunts and it's easy to use, fits in my pocket and most importantly its accurate. Buy one and trust me if you have issues they will take care of you and you won't regret it.
Simplistic and Effective

I am very happy with my purchase with the TecTecTec ProWild Hunting Rangefinder. I originally thought this was one with the angle correction on distance but that was on my part. I was looking at many before choosing this one based on reviews and price. I was able to get a deer this year thanks to being able to mark my spots effectively using this rangefinder. The thing I was surprised at most was the fact how long the battery lasts. I have had no issues with the battery life and i have gone out 9 times for full day sits at different locations so they required me to find ranges again.
I give 4 stars just because it is very light and I am a bit afraid of it slipping out of my hands(with gloves on) due to no grips on the sides.
you'll probably like it. Pros are its low cost

This rangefinder is an interesting balance between price and quality. My needs were for a cost-effective option that generally worked - if your needs are the same, you'll probably like it. Pros are its low cost, relatively light weight, and the carrying case has a quiet magnetic snap rather than velcro. Cons are it has more trouble with low-reflectivity things than other rangefinders I've used (works fine against a rock, not so fine against a dark-barked tree or shaggy elk), the case belt loop is basically useless (not tall enough for any belt I own to actually fit through) and it's really hard to tell where the laser dot is being projected.

If you try to range-find through a tree (I'm talking one with leaves down, sparsely-branched, where you can very easily see through it) it's very hard to tell what you're actually ranging - the tree, or the thing beyond it. If you use it in the open against a high-brightness object like a rock, it works fine. I use it for finding ranges from a set stand to various target points, as ahead-of-time setup. I'm not sure I'd like it so much in snap situations like if you're a spot-and-stalk hunter.
This was a gift

I got this for a Christmas gift for my daughter and she seemed very excited when she saw it. She says that it works well and they enjoy using it when they go hunting.
Light weight, accurate range reading, entry level rangefinder
Jarl Seamus✓ Verified PurchaseJune 7, 2023
So initial impression, I just got this for hunting season and tried it out yesterday. It's extremely light weight and seems well built, we'll see how it does in the woods with damp/wet. Not too sure about weather resistance. On the gun club ranges, it seemed very accurate. Measured distance was pretty much spot on to the range markers. Only thing I see being a potential Con is the display. It is not back lit. The "retical" is part of the field of view, and black. The graphics and measurements are also black. In low light or against a dark background, the readings would be impossible to read. Likewise, it only displays the distance while you are holding the button, so if you move the point of aim to a lighter object for contrast, it will change the reading. and the distance is not displayed after you release the button.
Bottom line, this is a cheap, very entry level. If you are using it for range shooting, it should work great. If you're a hunter, I'd advise getting a better model.
