If you are looking to install this for any big trailer such an RV, then make sure you order separatelly a long RCA cable(I ordered 60ft just to make sure I have enough), and you can definitely install it yourself...if you don't mind getting a little dirt and get under the RV in order to nicely secure the cable all the way from the back of the trailer to the front.. I have to drill one hope in order to bring inside the cable, or into one of my front compartment of the RV in which I placed the modem-device.. I connected directly to the RV battery and added a switch in order to turned off when I do not travel or need any backup image so that the moden will stay off.. The image it is very good I would say, or at least on my Samsung S7 Edge, despite the fact that many people here described this setup as not being compatible with any Android phones.. I have to admit that I encountered some problems myself with/or getting the image throug, in the first place, but keep in mind that if you download the android app from your app store it will not work, so you have to Google separately the link that is provided in the Amazon Website and into thr product description, so you will see that link at the bottom I would say.. It is provided by the seller, so that you will be able to receive the image once everything is in place.. Mine, works perfect.. However, also keep in mind that it is a very very slightly delay on the actual image, or maybe half of a second I would say, but that is ok since you are not backing up your trailer fast anyway... Be patient and take it easy, so that your image might be able to keep up with your phase.. Anyway, I think the device is Ok, and it serves the purpose of my needs.. I would probably not suggested to any vehicle, for a back up camera.. It is somehow great for big trailer, RVs, or maybe a big busses.. I did not use it very much yet because my RV it is stationary usually, but I tried the connections numerous times and it is working so far.. Also keep in mind that the Wifi modem-device have to be close with your truck in order to receive the signal better, and without much of any interference, so that is why I ordered a separate long RCA cable in order to bring the main unit with its small antenna close to the truck/vehicle.. Good luck with yours...
