Nice mat, I used to insulate seedlings and heating coil!

I have to confess I bought this as an aid to grow seedlings and not for the kitchen. It is placed as an insulating surface under a heating coil, with the seed tray on top. Has worked well. The mat is good quality, kind of medium thickness for a silicone mat. I expect it would work well for dough in the kitchen also. Maybe I will try it after the seedlings have been moved to the garden!

I bought two sets of these. One set was for my mother-in-law to protect her glass stove top from scratches when she isn't cooking on it. The other set was for me to use when my smaller silpats aren't quite large enough to do the job.
I LOVE THESE! First, you should know that in addition to being twice the size of ordinary silpats, these are also thicker and sturdier.
I use one to cover my counter when I'm working with dough. I can roll the dough flat, then roll it up inside the silpat to rest it for half an hour or more. The silpat keeps it moist until it's ready to shape.
These are also big enough to line my roasting pan, so clean up is a breeze -- no more stuck-on meat drippings, baked-on cheese, or crusted sauce to scrub!
I'm very pleased with the pair of silicone mats I bought, and I do recommend them to anyone who wants to make their cooking tasks easier and also wants to cut down on their use of aluminum foil, plastic wrap, and parchment paper. These have paid for themselves many times over since I bought them a few months ago.

Everything about this mat is ideal for gun cleaning. I have been searching for the perfect gun cleaning mat for years, and this silicone mat checks all the boxes. I absolutely love this mat! Mat does not slide around, protects table tops, unaffected by gun cleaning solvents, cleans up easily, perfect thickness, very durable, rolls up for storage, non-glare surface, and perfect size for handguns. I have paid twice as much for other gun cleaning mats that were garbage. I am going to buy a second mat to use two mats together when cleaning my AR-15. I recommend the coffee colored mat. Also a great mat for wood gluing or when using a hot glue gun, since dried glue easily peels off the mat.

This mat is great for rolling out pie and cookie dough. It stays put and doesn't move while you are rolling out the dough. Most dough doesn't stick at all. Just use a little flour for really sticky doughs, and you'll be fine. I really like the large size and thickness of the mat, it gives you a good sized work area. The reason for 4 stars is the packaging. It comes just rolled up in a plastic sleeve. there is no documentation with the mat to describe it's important features that are on Amazon's product description such as being FDA approved and 100% food grade silicon. There isn't any reference to a warranty or even manufacturer information. I was so happy with this mat that I bought a second one to give as a gift. That was when i realized the recipient had absolutely no product information provided to them, so I had to fill them in.

My cockatiel Kelly loves the floor mat I made from this silicone sheet. I don't like him walking on the wire mesh at the bottom of his cage so have been using a conventional silicone mat I bought for baking. It didn't fit but did the job so I bought this larger mat. It was simple to cut to fit his cage. Someone stated it was hard to mark but I found it easy with a felt marker I use on my white boards. His 'messes' are easily wiped up with a tissue and he has firm footing. I might just buy another to use on my grill. Nice yellow brightens up his cage as well
